Not what it used to be
I have bought this food of the salmon Instinct can cat food for my cat for a few years. She was having stomach issues and this worked GREAT! The recent case was a different can where my plastic lids don't fit and the food itself looks gray/brown. This is not the food that I bought a few months back. After reading other low reviews, I agree that this is not the food for my cat. I am so disappointed that it's not made in the USA and that the mixture has changed. No lid fits this can. The can itself is also made of a different metal. So disappointed.
not the favourite rabbit
there are other brands that they prefer. I do not know about the health contents of either one however I have a cat who is rabbit dependent as he has allergies to Poultry

My cat starts vomiting
First time to buy this food. But my two cats start vomiting after eating this food! Never happened before.
Off The Menu
Many thanks to other reviewers! Now I know why my cats have stopped eating Instinct or vomiting it up. My local shelter wouldn’t take it so I’m dumping 3 cases. Too much $ down the drain. I won’t be coming back even if they return production to the USA.

Thanks to the reviewers who confirmed what me and my cat already knew. This food has changed completely. I still had some of the old cans, and when I opened one of those, it was very apparent how different the food is. The old one looked and smelled better, and my cat ate it right up. The new cans are an unpleasant odor, texture, and he ate it grudgingly, asking me for something different. I see why, now. The ingredients have changed. Will no longer be buying this brand that has been my staple for 15 years.
Bad quality
I get this at the local pet store and my cats loved it. Cans I received from my Chewy order had some weird white stuff inside (sitting on top of food) that I hadn't noticed in local cans. My cat threw it up. Tried again another day, with a different can and had the same issue. Guessing the food was spoiled so def not giving anymore to my cat.
My cats didn't like it
The food may be good, but my cat's would not eat it. I gave it to the shelter.
Added Guar Gum. Disappointed!
They recently added guar gum to ALL their wet food... even the limited ingredient ones! Very disappointed! Now I have to find a different food.
Now made in Thailand with guar gum and beef
Been feeding this for 5-years to our cats. Been thrown for a loop by Instinct since they decided to move production to Thailand and change the formula. Now, rather than pork, the salmon flavor has beef organs and guar gum. I contacted the company and was fed a slew of talking points meant to counter everything I said. Not only is the food a gooey mess now, the company seems to care less what they have done to loyal customers. If you order from multiple retailers, some are still sending out the old stock so once you transition the cats to a new formula, there is no way of knowing if you will get cans of the old formula. Shame on Instinct, what terrible people behind this company.
