About Instinct Freeze-Dried Raw Meals for Cats

Complete & Balanced Raw Meals

Instinct Freeze-Dried Raw meals are minimally processed and never cooked, preserving the integrity of their ingredients and nutrients for 100% complete and balanced nutrition. Available in a variety of proteins, these freeze-dried raw meals feature 3x more real meat and nutrient-rich organs than Instinct Original kibble, for more flavor and animal protein in every bite.

All The Benefits of Raw Nutrition

Instinct Freeze-Dried Raw Meals are made with real, natural ingredients and never cooked, to retain the raw ingredients’ natural flavors, valuable antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. The result is a more nutritious, healthy food that is shelf stable and convenient—simply scoop and serve like kibble or add water for extra moisture.

Minimally Processed and Never Cooked

Eating a diet rich in minimally processed foods is just as good for our pets as it is for us. Made with responsibly sourced meat and non-GMO fruits and vegetables, Instinct raw recipes are minimally processed—and never cooked—to keep their nutrients intact. Less processed food allows better digestion and nutrient absorption, so your furry friend gets more nutrients in every bite.

The Raw Difference

Unlike traditional, cooked pet foods, raw pet food retains more important antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that are key to helping your pet live a healthier life. Common changes noticed by pet parents who feed raw include better digestion, improved skin and coat, improved weight, relief from food sensitivities, and increased energy and vitality. Feeding as little as 20% raw as part of your pet’s diet can have a positive impact on your pet’s life.

Questions & Answers

6 Customer Questions

How do I feed my cat raw? Just cause it’s uncooked I’m wondering if it’s ok to feed straight out of the bag?

Answer by ChewyMar 23, 2021
It can be served as is or rehydrated by adding water. We recommend adding 2 tablespoons of water to 1 cup of food. If introducing your cat to raw food for the first, we recommend doing it over a period 5 to 7 days, mixing increasing amounts of raw food while decreasing current food.

How many cups are in a bag?

Answer by ChewyJul 26, 2021
This recipe contains approximately 4.75 cups in a 9.5 ounce bag.

What is the phosphorus % in this food?

Answer by ChewyMar 10, 2022
This food has 1.13% phosphorus as fed and 1.20% on a dry matter basis.

What is the carbohydrate percentage?

Answer by ChewySep 07, 2022
This recipe has a carbohydrate content of 13.0% on an as-fed basis (13.83% on a dry matter basis).

This freeze dried raw kitten formula is amazing. I can either add water and make it into a wet food in a few minutes, or I can feed it dry as is and provide drinking water. Makes a great topper for raw meat, and helps me add quality variety for my kittens diet.

Good for my kitties and they like it!

I give it to them on top of their food or as a little treat separately.

Completely Uninterested

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the food. It rehydrates fine, but my cat just refuses to eat it. She'd rather go hungry than eat this food, even though
