I tried Jiminy's Dog Dental Chew Treats (Medium) for my senior male Husky as part of his nightly routine. After dinner, he would look forward to his treat before settling down for the night. He was definitely interested—he’d chew eagerly and seemed to enjoy the taste. I liked that the product wasn’t messy. It didn’t leave crumbs or residue. But despite the initial excitement, there was a consistent problem: he never finished the chew. Every single time, he’d leave about a third of it untouched, and it would just sit there. I suspect the shape or design made it difficult to chew all the way through, especially for an older dog. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend this product. It wasn’t fully usable for us, even though he liked the flavor.

As an allergy mom, the first thing I look at on any product are the ingredients to be sure my girl can eat it. Imagine my surprise when I saw the protein source--black solder fly! Whaaat?! Well, that is certainly a "novel protein" and the other ingredients such as tapioca, brown rice flour and cinnamon are all ok so we gave them a try! They smelled like any meaty chew but with a hint of cinnamon, which cut the pungency a bit. We received the Medium which is recommended for a dog up to 55 lbs. Clara is 75 lbs but these were still a nice size for her. She can be a bit picky but did not give the chew a second thought before chomping it down. If you have a laundry list of allergies like we do, these are definitely worth a second look. Time will tell if they keep her mouth fresh and clean and replace our usual dental chew but we will add these to our rotation for sure!

These came just in time. We had been out visiting family on acreage and the dogs usually get into an array of wildlife feces. The entire drive back our lab sat between the bucket seats in our van and pants towards the windshield. His breath was AWEFUL! Within two days of using these we could tolerate sitting next to him again. He is trained to have a soft mouth so it took some coaxing to get him to chew it. I would suggest maybe slightly larger in size, he is a small lab at 55lbs and he did chew them, just no much. But his breath after 1 week was much better. The calculus (the hardened and adhered plague/tartar) on his carnassial teeth is still present, so they don’t remove build up. But do help with preventing more. Would be a great addition after annual dental cleaning to help keep breath fresh and limit the build up of new calculus.

We received these dental treats and at first my dog went to town on the initial treat. I just gave him another this morning and I heard him crying. I thought he got it stuck in his throat but when I checked, it was still in his mouth and he wanted to go out. It's nice out so I thought he wanted to eat it on the deck to impress his new neighbor friend, Buddy. Nope! Buddy wasn't out but Rex, my dog, proceeded to go down the stairs and straight to the strawberry patch where he proceeded to dig a hole and bury the treat. I guess he doesn't like healthy treats.

These smell like (human) dessert when opened. Taffy loved them. After a couple of days I gave her a choice; two of the other kind and one of these and she went right for the cinnamon. (And a cat tried to eat through the bag.) They've got a nice crunch and I won't know dental results for a while, but I have ordered more.

Both of my dogs really love these. You can really smell the cinnamon and it makes their breath fresh. They also enjoy chewing them and they seem to really keep

Both of my dogs really love these. You can really smell the cinnamon and it makes their breath fresh. They also enjoy chewing them and they seem to really keep their teeth clean. It’s neat that the company is using insects/crickets. This product may be a good protein alternative for dogs with protein allergies. I tried multiple times to get a picture of the dogs enjoying them, however they just gobble them up too fast.
