First, these really smell great! Alas, I’ve tried several dental chews for my dog, with little to no luck. Sadly, these fall in the no luck category because my dog

First, these really smell great! Alas, I’ve tried several dental chews for my dog, with little to no luck. Sadly, these fall in the no luck category because my dog just walked away. I offered her one and she just turned away. I then broke/cut one in half and put in it her treat bowl, but she just looked at in the bowl, then took one half and hid it in the cats bed. The other half just sat there for days, as did the one in the cats bed. Maybe it’s because she’s 8 yrs old and has had 4 teeth removed but whatever her reason, she won’t even try to eat these. I’m sure other dogs would find them tasty, and of course, helpful in keeping teeth clean.

Great Smelling Dental Treat

My dogs are picky about their dental treats. I used to use a mint flavored one they loved but didn't like mint ones from other brands. My vet suggested switching

My dogs are picky about their dental treats. I used to use a mint flavored one they loved but didn't like mint ones from other brands. My vet suggested switching to a different treat, so I switched to something that only has meat flavors that they like (they dislike the mint). I like the cinnamon smell of these treats as opposed to meat smell! Sometimes when I give them new treats they are hesitant, but my dogs liked these right away. They have lots of knobby things on both sides of different types that help with cleaning the teeth. I love that they can use a bug protein to make these and they are still pleasant smelling!

My dogs love dental chews. Upon receiving Jiminy's Dental Chews, I was excited to see how they would like this particular brand since it was a different flavor than they have ever tried- cinnamon. I had three taste testers try the cinnamon flavored chews. One is a lab who eats everything so down the hatch with zero complaints, next is a lab mix who doesn't always like everything, but he ate it after giving it a good sniff test! Lastly, is a Jack Russell who usually takes chews and doesn't eat them right away because she wants to tease the others showing them that she still has hers after they scoffed theirs down. She immediately ate this enticing flavored chew with no teasing. I gave this product 4 stars because the cinnamon smell is quite strong and I think that some dogs may be turned off by that.

My dogs always look forward to their daily chews and I was interested to try these with an insect based protein. My dogs really liked these treats and they were happy to have one everyday. They do seem to get bored of the same treats easily depending on what I get for them. so it is up in the air whether these would hold their interest if I were to get another bag. But we’re almost through the bag and they still are so excited to eat them. Another plus is that they seem easy to digest. I have one dog with allergies and these haven’t bothered her.

I’ve been giving these to my dog for about two weeks now every few days and he loves them. I think it has moderately helped his breath and he definitely loves the taste. I am always concerned with giving my dog treats because he has a very sensitive stomach but it has not caused him any discomfort at all, which is exciting. I will likely be purchasing in the future.
