I have to admit, I was originally skeptical about this product. I had managed to navigate my adult life without a detangler for my dogs and wasn’t convinced I actually needed it. But then again, I do have four golden retrievers (yes, I know, my sanity is now in question). It’s a long story involving a foster situation gone awry. My two girls have really long coats, so I tried this spray on them first. I was amazed! This spray did everything it promised. Their coats brushed out with ease! The smell is wonderful. I am definitely a fan of the lavender. It felt like a true Paul Mitchell product with both quality and great scent. I also used it on my two boys who are English creams and don’t have as long of coats as my girls. It helped their chest, fluff brush out nicely. As for the calming part of the product, I didn’t really notice much calm. But my crew is very high energy, and I doubt just lavender would calm them down anyway! I will definitely continue to use this product for how well it did for my girls

Owners will love the scent. Smells like good aromatherapy. My dog, not so much. We have a female Dorkie. She has the dachshund body, with Yorkie head, ears and fur. Her fur doesn’t really tangle and she doesn’t shed like many dogs. She can always stand to smell fresher though. After spraying and combing, even just a little, she acted like I had given her a bath. Rubbed on furniture and carpet. So she’s not a fan. But it’s definitely a good scent and nice to have on hand to help get rid of that doggie smell. Only complaint is I wish the wording on the back of the bottle wasn’t black letters on a purple background. But that’s minor.

I have been using Paul Mitchell’s lavender mint spray for about a week now and really do enjoy it. I have 3 dogs all German shepherds aging from 12 yrs, 3 yrs and 9 weeks. My old man absolutely hates having the puppy in the house and has a hard time getting around so I use this in his room area on his rug and sometimes I’ll spray some on his back. He seems to be more chilled when I do use it on him. My 3 yr is the most chilled one of the group so this doesn’t seem to phase him but it bib make him sneeze a bit on the first day. My 9 week old loves the smell and will clean this off her brothers but didn’t seem to slow her hyperactive behavior down. All-in-all I love the smell and it does make for a calming feeling with my dogs.

This product has a very pleasant smell. And living in the South, especially during the warmer, weather, our dog usually comes back into the house after being walked

This product has a very pleasant smell. And living in the South, especially during the warmer, weather, our dog usually comes back into the house after being walked with that distinct smell of a warm and sweaty dog. A couple squirts from this and he's much more pleasant to be around! The reason for the four stars is because he tends to get anxiety during a storm and I haven't had the opportunity to see if this would help to calm him down a little. Overall, pleased with it!

We were provided with this product in exchange for review. This product is VERY highly scented and noone in our family found that strong scent anywhere near pleasant. Smells exactly like Tom Cat rodent repellant. When applied, both cats immediately began licking and didnt stop for quite some time to the point we are expecting to see hairballs any time now. I can comment on the calming or conditing claim because between the gross smell and encouragement for the cats to lick, we wont be applying a second time.
