Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
CHASE: Sure to give your dog a run for his money
TUG: Playing tug-of-war helps your dog relieve stress
SWIM: Ideal for water based fun
My pup loves the Jolly Ball so much that she runs around furiously shaking it while repeatedly wacking herself on the head! Now I fully admit, this headbanging may cause in neurological damage at some point but she is in love with this ball! We originally had a horse jolly ball given to us but that was probably not the right size upon reflection. If your dog likes to run around and shake floppy toys, this is for you. The only reason why this got 4 stars is because the rope was pretty flimsy compared to braided paracord. If you have a chewer this may not be for you.
I have 2 damnation mixes and the boys love to play together. I thought this would be good for them. The boys had the rope pulled out of the ball in a matter of minutes. Not quite what I was expecting from this toy, I thought it would be a little more durable. The boys are still playing with it so its not a total waste. If it had been more durable I would of gave it 5 stars.
I was going through old purchases on Chewy and I saw this. I bought this at least two years ago and my dog is still chewing it and loving it. It's a top tier dog toy. He is an English Springer Spaniel and the medium size is good, although the small is probably good for them too.
Just a note, this is NOT made from the same hard plastic as a Jolly ball. My dog has been able to grab it in her mouth and put numerous teeth holes in it, though I don't think it will affect the durability of the ball quite yet. The rope on the other hand, is toast. Completely chewed off in a matter of minutes. Which was disappointing, since the handle was a big part of my reason for purchase. Not quite what I was expecting from this toy, but i think we will still get some play out of it,, so not a total loss yet.... If your dog is an intense herder, this may not be the toy for you
Toy lasted several weeks with my one year-old great Dane…he normally destroys the toy in just a few minutes or a few hours.
I recieved this toy on Friday night and by Sunday morning the rope has unraveled and the ball fell off. Waste of money.
This point keeps both of my dogs entertained they love playing tug-of-war
So excited to get this for our 50 lbs Standard Poodle. In under 5 min he had bitten completely through the nylon knotted rope. Wyatt has other knotted cotton rope toys that have stood up well. Very disappointed. Off to the hardware store to find replacement rope. Come on Jolly do better.
My boxer loves this ball. She will grab it by the rope and just run and run. Every once in a while the other dogs even join in but the Boxer is the most fun to watch with it. It’s her favorite toy.
This is Teddy’s absolute favorite play toy! The minute he heads out the door he runs to pick it up and proceeds to run laps around the yard swinging his Jolly Ball the whole time. He enjoys a good game of tug with it too!Word of caution- when the ball starts swinging . . . look out! It can hurt if it hits you! But he loves it sooooo much, I just bought a new one to eventually replace the one Teddy’s been playing with for the last three years!
