Not so universal as described.
By Catwax on Jan 29, 2021
Not all tubing connects the same exact way. This particular tubing doesn’t have a laur screw. What? You’ve never heard of that term? Neither had I. Now I know! It’s helpful for us newbies who need this detail to order the same tubing as the vet might use. I would recommend this tubing in spite of not having the laur screw to secure the needle to the tube end. It works just as well and feeds nicely. We are giving subcutaneous fluid daily to a cat.

Perfect for getting fluids in quickly
By Desiree on Nov 23, 2020
I am not sure what the bad reviews are all about here but this is my go to line for fluids. I only buy this one. I have tried others. It’s simple and easy and has the roller to stop the fluids, no extra crimp part that seems unnecessary and usually causes the crimped line to be difficult to open up to get fluids through. The rate on this is perfect. I get a hight flow stream if I have the needle in the right spot on my cat and have the bag hung high from an IV pole. If you do not hang your bag high you will never get a high flow and just get a slow drip. You need gravity and distance to get that speed to get this done quickly unless your cat loves laying there getting fluids which my cat I am not sure what the bad reviews are all about here but this is my go to line for fluids. Also I like that you can push the needle on and pull it off for quick release to change your needle after you are done. I never leave a dirty needle on the line. I am not a fan of the twist ones. This one works just perfect. Anyone having issues must be doing something wrong. Anyway, I highly recommend this line if you just need a simple high flow line for fluid administration. … more

rolling clamp too stiff
By annie on Jul 5, 2020
this is the only IV administration tubing available on chewy. while it functions fine and as expected, the roller clamp is much too stiff. i am unable to open and close the tubing with it. my husband, who is much stronger than i, has to open and close the tubing when we do the subcutaneous fluid administration for our kitty. i am a nurse and have used IV tubing for many years. i have NEVER had any problem using the roller clamp easily. this roller clamp problem makes this tubing set very difficult to use and is unacceptable.

No lock, regular needle fitting
By GmaCat on Sep 9, 2020
The description is inaccurate. It has a leur fitting, not a screw-in lock. I don’t have any trouble using this type, but occasionally it is very difficult to remove the used needle.

Just the ticket

It's an infusion set. We use it with Lactated Ringers on an older cat with kidney problems. Works fine, and the price is right !

does not secure a needle
By dsdaughtry on May 6, 2020
You get what you pay for. The packaging may be nice, but the quality to hold a needle is very poor. This product has no security screw to ensure that a needle does not slip out or disconnect from the line. Not a good product if you have a pet that moves ever so slightly to adjust while sitting during a subQ treatment.
