How do I dispose of the container once it is full of needles?

Answer by ChewyOct 01, 2018
Disposal rules and regulations vary across states and localities. Please reach out to your local waste management facility for proper disposal protocol.

how many needles will the pint size hold?

Answer by ChewyOct 19, 2018
The pint size will hold approximately 21, 3cc syringes. Any variations will depend on the size of the syringe.

If I take the container to the vet for them to dispose of them can I reuse it?

Answer by ChewyFeb 28, 2019
Unless otherwise mandated, healthcare facilities and fire stations typically cannot take full Sharps containers for disposal. These facilities are typically required by state medical waste laws to pay for their own medical waste disposal and usually do not have the resources to take containers from the public.

Do you put the whole syringe in this container or does this have a “cutter” to cut the tip off ?

Answer by ChewyApr 26, 2019
This container is for sharp needles, syringes and other hazardous waste. The entire syringe should be disposed.

This is a good sharps container similar if not identical to a human sharps container. It makes needle disposal easy and keeps sharps from floating around in the home and the trash. It also removes the need to recap the needle. Recapping the needle is usually one of the most common ways to accidentally poke yourself.

Nice large container

Very useful container, big enough so that there’s plenty of room for used syringes without running out of space. Definitely beats using smaller containers that easily

This is a great container, and I use it to collect my sharps, which I then take to a safe disposal event once a year. I’ve bought it a few times, but this last time it arrived, it was packaged with the heavy cat litter box and a few other things, and really needed to have additional padding around it. The top lid was damaged and cracked, and has come off. I’ll still use it, but I thought worth mentioning with regards to how it’s packaged when sent with heavy things.

Not much to say, its a container to put used needles in. I did expect it to be secure like diabetic needle kits but the top lid doesn't close, making it possible

Not much to say, its a container to put used needles in. I did expect it to be secure like diabetic needle kits but the top lid doesn't close, making it possible for it to fall over and spill out used needles. Also, the picture is different than the product, which taller and slender.
