Julius-K9 In Training Dog Patch, Large

I have been searching for a decent harness to use for scent work training for a while. Standard poodles have deep and narrow chests, and I’ve had difficulty finding a harness that didn’t gap or rub under the axilla (armpits). Another was the sturdiness of the harness (as in it won’t fall apart in 6 months). I also wanted a good handle in addition to the metal ring to attach the long lead. I didn’t want to pay a fortune, but I wanted my money’s worth. The Julius-K9 fit the bill. They tell you how to measure your dog, then give you the range of sizes. My spoo is 55 lbs, and with her girth measurement, they suggested a size L. Perfect fit. Easy on, easy off. She had no issues wearing it for class the very first time she wore it. (I have learned to wait to put it on once we are in class then take it off. She is not enamored with wearing it and trying to hop into the car. She can walk fine in it, but it is a different feeling for her, so she seems to resist jumping in the car with it on.) PROS: Easy to fit, easy to put on, dog had no issues wearing it, or working in it. Band around the front of the chest is reflective for night. Nothing rubbing on armpits, and no band around the neck that can choke a dog. CONS: Can’t think of any. For our needs, this works perfect. We only use it for nose work, not for daily walks.
