Love this!
I own 3 dogs & 2 are picking eaters. I made this dog food & all of them Love it!! They eat it right up which saves me a lot of time. Worth every penny & the time to make it. I also added ground flax seed & yams to it. Will continue making it in all the flavors. Plus it’s REAL FOOD!
Great adder for food!
My dogs love it! Very easy to find all the ingredients at the grocery store and made a big batch of food. My Rottie has become very picky in his old age and will eat this immediately. It is not food it is just something you add to the food for vitamins and nutrients.
Great intro to fresh food!
I really wanted to try a fresh food diet for my Great Dane after she decided she no longer liked her dry kibble. This is the easiest recipe for me to find at my local grocery store and my dog LOVES it! Not only does she eat it right away I have noticed her energy levels are way up! (not always a good thing)
Pretty Simple
Well we got our first batch made, the dogs love it and this blend makes it simple to make your own. We will be trying some of the other blends soon!
Return process
Needed to return this because my wife ordered from somewhere else. Disappointed with the chewy return process where you have to message them, then message again with the specific item to return. Why don’t they just have a return button in the app like most other companies these days ? Isn’t chewy completely an online business anyways?
Wonderful product
Jffd has saved our dogs life. Last year we almost lost him, he had pancreatitis, was also diagnosed with ibd and spent a night in the emergency vet. He was refusing to eat, losing 8 lbs, throwing up. We tried everything and I desperately ordered this diy mix hoping he would like it. He loved it! His ibd symptoms all but disappeared, he is maintaining weight and is off all meds. We make 3 weeks worth at a time but we have it down to a science now. Knowing that this food is helping him makes the couple of hours making it worth while. I honestly don’t know what would have happened if jffd wasn’t an option. We give it 5 starts and king gives it a very cute happy dance every time we feed him. Thank you for making this product it truly is a lifesaver.
so glad to have a DIY option
Our dog is on a half fresh, half kibble diet. We had bought the fresh frozen packs for many months before deciding to cut costs and make it ourselves. I love that JFFD makes this an option. It’s so convenient and easy! The hardest part for us was finding turkey liver. NO grocery stores around us had it so we ended up having to order from a raw pet food supplier, but the two pounds we purchased will last us a long time since the half recipe only needs 1.5 ounces at a time. My dog does great on this food and I couldn’t recommend it more.
Great option
We normally use JustFoodForDogs Fresh Frozen option to buy their turkey recipe. However if we have more time and want to save some money the DIY option works great too! We thought it would be hard to find turkey liver but our regular grocery store had it and we just never noticed before. The directions are super easy to follow and it's fun to prep the dogs food like we do ours on the weekend.
Great product
I am so glad that Chewy is now carrying this. I use both the turkey and the chicken diy kits for my dogs. I love that I can buy the diy kit and then buy the other ingredients and make this at home. So much cheaper to make it yourself. My dogs both love this and are doing great on it. One is an extremely picky eater but has never turned his nose up at this. I would recommend this to anyone.
