life saver

I purchased this for my 1 1/2 year old dog as she was getting very fussy. I was cooking intermittently as well to get her to eat. Sorry, no tough love here. I want to know they ate well. I was getting farmers dog to feed in between but I do like this better. She did not like the fish, but the others were fine. This does gets less soupy than the other frozen food. I am now feeding it intermittently to my senior who has been on a prescription diet. He has IBD and is tolerating it. I don’t mind cooking here and there but this has been a life saver for me. You can see the ditalini pasta in the turkey which are whole wheat. It’s worth a try and I do like to give them some variety like we want.

Changed My Dogs Life Forever!

I was free-feeding Wayne Kibble before switching to JustFoodForDogs. I began noticing Wayne was overweight and started buckling in his knees and wrist and knew there had to be something better. Since starting on JustFoodForDogs in 2018, Wayne is no longer obese, which helped alleviate the extra burden on his joints. Remember, every extra pound of excessive weight is four pounds of pressure added to the joints! Knowing this, I decided to go above & beyond for Wayne by giving him JustFoodForDogs' all-natural Joint Care Plus to help restore and repair his joints. Despite being 13 years old, Wayne acts and plays just like a young pup. I truly believe it is from switching him onto fresh whole foods! Wayneboy is my firstborn and has shown me what it is to be a pet parent. Over the past 13 years and six states together, we have a bond unlike anything else. We speak telepathically, despite him being a stubborn Taurus. Growing up with Wayneboy beside me has shown the true meaning behind “man’s best friend”. I am so lucky to have him and his youthfulness thanks to JustFoodForDogs

Well worth it!

My dog loves all of the different meals that Just For Dogs offers. He was having problems with vomiting when his diet consisted of high quality kibble. He no longer gets sick. I also love that I can order it when I want and I don’t have to be on an auto shop plan like you do with other brands. Less one star because the packaging makes it messy at feeding time scooping out the right amount.

Very Disappointed in this item! Just Food For Dogs

My 1 year old puppy has been very finicky about her food so I thought that I would give "Just Food for Dogs" a try. It looked great in the pictures but when it arrived you couldn't see any meat or chicken in the packets. It looked like mostly rice and potatoes. My dog wouldn't eat any of it unless I but gravy from my pot roast or nutrional gel for dogs on it. She wouldn't even try the fish combo. I ended up throwing most of it away! I will not order it again!

Quality Food, dog loves it

This dog food came in bags not cans. The food requires refrigeration. When it is in the bag it looks kind of like plain mush. But once I got it out and put in a bowl, I could really see the quality. It comes in two varieties; Beef and Potato, and Turkey and Macaroni. They both had a lot of meat in them. You could also see bits of vegetables in the mix as well. One thing I like about getting human quality dog food from a company rather than making it myself is that the company can figure out the correct ratios of things. Dogs are not pure carnivores and need more than just meat. This company appears to have done that research (testing with AAFCO feeding trials and following National Research Council Standards) and came up with a quality product. The consistency is soft, but not overly wet. I feel like a lot of canned dog foods add water to increase their weight, not this company. The softness can lead to more dental plaque on your dogs teeth, so if feeding this regularly I would suggest giving them bones or something to chew on. As for taste, my dog was thrilled. I gave him a taste test and he wouldn't leave me alone until I gave him the whole bowl. And, this is after he had refused to eat dinner. Unfortunately, this food is expensive. I plan to use it as a dinner topper for special occasions, due to the cost. But, I do think that it is a quality food.

A good way to try new food

I am pleased that when the bag of food is thawed and squeezed into the bowl, it is not mush. It's actually chunky like food should be. My dogs love all of the flavors, but one of them kicked out most of the macaroni. The cod variety was a bit watery. I was surprised that there is quite a bit of filler such as macaroni and rice. I guess I prefer seeing vegetables even though dogs in the wild do not eat vegetables. That is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.
