What size should I get for a 50 pound lab mix who destroys toy.
Answer by ChewyJan 30, 2018
The Lightweight measures 5 inches long x 5 inches wide x 2 inches high, the Middleweight measures 6 inches long x 6 inches wide x 2.5 inches high, and the Heavyweight measures 7.25 inches long x 7.25 inches wide x 3 inches high.

Are the lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight versions different hardness of material? It appears they have different shaped protrusions and different sizes based on the "weight" but I can't tell about the hardness of material.
Answer by ChewyAug 26, 2020
The different weights is the sizes suitable for the breed size. The Lightweight is suitable for Small breeds, the Middleweight is suitable for Medium breeds, and the Heavyweight is suitable for Large and Giant breeds.

Fantastic purchase for the price

I have a young shepherd mix that is an extreme chewer. Many toys have been tossed because she was able to get little rubber bits from them. This seems to satisfy her need to chew and she is not trying to bite pieces off. She and I are very happy to have this.

Fun dog toy

My Pit/boxer mix will usually not engage in playtime with a brand new toy, it take some coaxing and some treats on/in the toy. this toy he went right after and was playing for a very long time and also will pick it up all by himself to play. Very sturdy dog toy so far

Gamble failed

Gambled on this toy knowing it was not for large breeds. I lost. Within 1.25 hr my 2+ yr old Dane had one end of the toy chewed off. He's not an aggressive chewer but very determined. JW has a good reputation, that's why I bought it. Oh well, lesson learned.

Not for aggressive chewers

I got this toy for our almost grown puppy because it says it’s a very durable toy for “champion” chewers and will last. Our dog had the first part torn off within 10 minutes and she tore the toy to pieces. It is definitely not made for aggressive chewers at all. I should have taken a picture before I threw it away, but I didn’t think about it when cleaning up all the tiny pieces of the toy all over my living room floor.

favorite toy

My dog has weakened enamel so he can’t have any hard toys. This rubber chew toy is perfect because it’s soft enough for his his teeth but sturdy enough for it to not tear apart. This is his favorite toy because he can easily hold one end with his paws while chewing on the other end like a lollipop.

Tough and dog loves it

This is very tough ( our big dog is an aggressive chewer) item. I put a bit of peanut butter in the ends and she spent the longest time licking, chewing and carting it around.

Great Chew Toy

This is the best chew toy yet! My dog loves to chew, and destroy, her toys. This is still partially intact after 2 weeks! I will buy this for her again.

Great toy for heavy chewers

I have 2 bullies that love to chew, bought this in Oct 2021, still in one piece May 2022. Stronger than the toys I get in their subscription box for heavy chewers.

not for agressive chewers

I purchased this because it said 'heavyweight' but it is nothing of the sort....my mistake I guess - this is very soft and pliable - got shredded by my rottie Beauregard in less than 20 minutes...good for smaller dogs I guess

Fun and durable

Bucky enjoys this so much from getting treats out of the ends to bouncing it around the floor to gnawing on all parts of it. It is holding up well with his aggressive chewing.
