Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

About K9 Advantix II

Experience the Advantages of K9 Advantix II

Veterinarian-recommended K9 Advantix II kills fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and lice, and repels biting flies. Now you can help your dog fight these pesky pests through contact—no biting required. Convenient and easy to use, K9 Advantix II is for dogs and puppies 7 weeks of age or older. So help your pal get the effective protection he needs with all of the advantages of K9 Advantix II.

Why are Biting Bugs a Big Deal?

K9 Advantix II spreads over the skin and hair to kill and repel them through contact, meaning they do not have to bite to die. And if a flea, tick or mosquito is repelled, it cannot bite and transmit disease.

Why Choose K9 Advantix II?

Fleas, ticks and mosquitoes can negatively affect your pet's health. It's important to use an effective product that kills pests which can spread disease. Fleas can cause flea allergy dermatitis, an allergic reaction that can lead to constant scratching, severe itching and even hair loss. Ticks can transmit deadly diseases, such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. And mosquitoes can potentially carry dangerous diseases, too, including heartworm. K9 Advantix II should not be used in place of a heartworm disease prevention product.

Is K9 Advantix II the Right Choice for Your Dog?

Whether your dog is a winter snow hound or a summer backyard explorer, an sunseeker or an outdoor enthusiast, choose K9 Advantix II to help keep fleas, ticks and mosquitoes from interrupting his favorite activities year-round. If you want to return the love to your dog, take care of him with flea prevention that works to kill the fleas you see and the ones you don't.

Are there side effects from using Advantix for small dogs
Answer by TeresabApr 06, 2022
We haven’t experienced any! We hold our dog a few minutes until the drops have time to dry ( she tries to wipe it off in her dog bed)

How often should I give 1 dose on a dog?? every 30 or 60 days??
Answer by ChewyJul 27, 2017
In cases of severe pest infestations, retreatment is allowable earlier than 4 weeks. Do not retreat more often than once every 7 days. After pest control is attained, return to a monthly retreatment schedule.

How long do I have to wait to bathe the dog after applying?
Answer by ChewyJun 15, 2021
We suggest bathing your dog before applying K9 Advantix II. Just make sure your dog is thoroughly towel dried. K9 Advantix II is waterproof and remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or after exposure to rain or sunlight. If you choose to bathe your dog in between treatments, we recommend use of a general grooming shampoo for pets and waiting until the topical treatment has fully dried.

Did Not Work

My Poms had a couple fleas on them after a romp with the neighbor dog. I applied this and as far as I can tell it did nothing substantial to kill the fleas. I recommend getting Bravecto instead. This was a waste and I will have to treat them with something else now. They are both the proper weight for this bracket.

My go to product

I've been using this product for about 20ish years and though quite pricey it's worked better than any of the others I've tried, plus she sits patiently while I apply as opposed to oral which I have to force down her throat, and neither of us want that. There's been a couple of times last summer that I found a few fleas on her despite using this product....which is the first time that has ever happened in all the years. I don't know if the doses in the pack I got were somehow defective or what. Otherwise does great as a preventative measure to help keep my baby safe!

Doesn’t work

No matter what the size or weight of your pet if the pet has any for and it’s not a very fine short hair dog this product does not work I put this on my dog and it Hass to get on the skin to be able to work. Which I did the second time I used it for sure make sure that it still did not work she got infested same with the seresto collar If product is not against skin at all times product doesn’t work but this canine Advantix just doesn’t work at all

This seems to be working

Bought the cheaper Hartz type last time & it did not work. This brand while more expensive seems to work. No fleas or ill affects

Fast, reliable service!

I love ordering from Chewy! The products I need are always in stock. They ship in 1 to 3 days, and for FREE. This time I got a better deal on my order than what was available in the local stores!

So Far So Good!

Like most products, this is easy to apply but unlike the other flea and tick preventative treatments, K9 Advantix also prevents mosquito bites, which can cause heartworm. So far, my little fluff ball hasn't had a single flea or tick.

Tiny Dog = should work= NOPE

Super disappointed. I have a Chiweeniepom. It’s been 2 weeks and he STILL has moving alive fleas. I cleaned his bedding and treated our carpets. No fleas spotted except for on my dog. I reckon I should of went with the chewable tablet.
