Questions & Answers

Can this be used on a dog with Epilepsy?

Answer by MKAug 15, 2023
Each pet is different. Please consult your vet. I had a senior poodle with epilepsy and diabetes? I was able to use this with her and it did not contribute to addutional seizures. NOTE that all are different so only your vet can guide you.

How often should i give this to my dog?

Answer by ChewyMay 31, 2020
This treatment is formulated to start killing fleas within just 30 minutes to help give dogs fast-acting relief. It will kill all the adult fleas on your dog within a day, but won't provide lasting protection against fleas. It's recommended to use this product on a dog with an active flea infestation, and then to follow up with a flea preventative. We always recommend consulting with your veterinarian for the best flea treatment advice for your specific location.

What is the shelf life of this product?

Answer by ChewyMar 22, 2024
This product has a shelf life of 3 years.

I can use this on my nursing dog? And her four week pups?

Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2019
These tablets are safe for puppies four weeks and older as well as safe for pregnant or nursing pets.

Capstar killed the fleas on my animals and so far they haven't returned. I gave it once a day, at the same time, for six days. Coupled that with extensive cleaning every day. Capstar will only kill adult fleas on the animals. If there are fleas in the home, they can and will still jump on your pet. Once they bite the pet, they'll die. But you'll still see them crawling around on pets until they do. Also not good for flea eggs. Probably cheaper in the long run to go get prescription meds from the vet in all honesty, but this does what it says it will.

Opened much needed anticipated box of Chewy for this product. It claims fleas will be dead within 5 minutes...Well it's been 6 hours and nothing. But....when I opened the package there was nothing in it. Before I clipped off the top I noticed nothing was in it. But I thought maybe it like an aerosol...you can't see it. There was literally nothing inside the little flask. NOTHING!

I definitely know that Chewy had no part in the way this box got delivered. It’s just frustrating that FedEx treated it like this and crushed it to heck. For the most part, the medicine is OK but two or three of them were crushed. I’m just hoping that the fact that they were pushed out doesn’t affect them in anyway.
