Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

About Seresto

Vet-Recommended Flea and Tick Protection

Help your dog lead the pack with long-lasting 8 month protection from Elanco. This easy-to-use, non-greasy, odorless collar kills and repels fleas and ticks for eight continuous months with daily wear, and can even help treat and control sarcoptic mange and lice. Get the performance you expect from a monthly treatment in an economical collar for convenient, effective protection.

Continuous Release for Long-Lasting Prevention

With Seresto, fleas and ticks are killed and repelled through contact, with no biting required. The active ingredients stored within the collar release in low concentrations with daily wear and distribute over your dog's skin and coat from head to tail for effective coverage. As the active ingredients wear off over time, the collar continuously replenishes the skin and coat with a new supply, for 8 continuous months.

Why Choose Seresto?

The veterinarian-recommended Seresto collar is non-greasy and helps avoid the inconvenience of applying monthly treatments. If fleas and ticks are repelled, they cannot bite and transmit dangerous diseases. It also helps to treat and control sarcoptic mange and kill lice. Seresto also doesn't interfere with your dog's regular collar and can easily be worn simultaneously.

Protection Your Pet Can Wear

Seresto brings convenience to every pet owner with lasting 8 month protection against fleas and ticks. Plus, Seresto works through contact which means fleas and ticks don't have to bite for the active ingredients to work. It's also available without a prescription, so it's just one less step to take care of.

A Little Water Never Slowed You Down

Seresto is water-resistant and remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or after exposure to rain or sunlight. Under normal conditions, effectiveness lasts for 8 months. In order to maintain an eight-month duration, dogs must not be bathed more than once per month. For dogs that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to 5 months for flea control and reduced to 7 months for tick control.

About Seresto

Seresto is manufactured by Elanco, a leading name in the healthcare industry for over 150 years. Seresto kills and repels fleas and ticks for eight continuous months in one easy-to-use, non-greasy, odorless collar. It effectively kills fleas and ticks and is veterinarian-recommended, so you can feel confident knowing that your pet is getting effective protection.

I HAVE A MALTIPOO AN HE IS 19 LBS AN HAS BEEN AS HIGH AS 23 LBS. WILL THE LARGE FLEA COLLAR FIT HIM AS THE SMALL COLLAR SAYS UP TO 18 LBS.
Answer by YvonneJul 29, 2023
Do NOT put this collar on your little dog. I have a Havanese and she almost died from this collar. It is toxic and 2500 dog deaths in USA. Canada already banned it. Just google. I wish I did. There are natural alternatives

What is the expiration date?
Answer by HotteaJul 29, 2023
The collar, UNOPENED, has no expiration date. When opened, active ingredients will expire in 8 months unless swimming or frequent (more than once a month) bathing, in which case effectiveness is reduced.

Can my dog sleep with me while wearing the collar ?
Answer by ChewyJul 13, 2018
It is safe to allow pets to sleep in bed with you while wearing this collar. The active ingredients spread from the site of direct contact over the skin surface, so it is not recommended to continuously touch the collar.

Can this collar be worn alongside or under another, regular collar?
Answer by ChewySep 14, 2018
This collar may be worn in addition to a regular collar. It is important to make sure the other collar does not interfere with the Seresto collar as it needs to remain in contact with the pets skin to be effective.

Really Works and Never had a Problem

I used Seresto on my first dog and my current dog, and I didn't have to pull a tick off either of them. I check them pretty regularly and after the collar, I haven't seen any. My thinking is that they may still get ticks, but the medicine is effective and the ticks would rather bail than die from the sickness. Also, Seresto has never made my dogs sick either. My first dog got violently ill and had his liver permanently damaged when the vet gave him Advantix for a dog much larger than him. Dog tax!

Very Disappointed

Hi all! I have been a dedicated serestro collar customer, and have religiously bought every year for the last 5. This year was no different for me but the collars were. They are not working in the slightest. My poor chihuahuas are not getting any relief even after I have treated the beds, and gave them numerous baths with the collar. We don’t have carpet, so that helps environmentally. Very dissatisfied and disappointed this year, and would love a refund to be able to get something that will work for my girls.

Use this all the time

Buddy is an gregarious, adorable, sweet, cuddly, squishy shih tzu who goes on walks everyday. He has playdates with his neighborhood dog friends. Occasionally we will walk on horse trails and he will ride his basket on the bike. He wears his seresto all the time. He tolerates it without any problems. He did not like the liquid flea & tick meds but this is odorless and not sticky. Works pretty well. The reflector attachments do nothing but that's okay, its inconsequential.

I have always been a fan of seresto collars, they used to work like magic. Now they do NOT work at all, I bought them in the end of thesummer last year and my dogs still kept fleas but I thought they started working but I think now it’s just because they died off because of the cooler weather. I just about them new collars in July and my dogs are COVERED in fleas. My lab mix has scratched his ear raw, both of my shitzu mixes have been scratching but my mostly white little girl is just covered. Bath after bath, which I remove the collars for baths and they just DO NOT work. Very disappointed with whatever changes Elanco changed because when BAYER had these collars they worked for over a year. I want my money back!

Not Impressed

I've used this product in years past and had good results, which is why I decided to spend the money on it when I had a need for my new dog. We live in a wooded area and need ultra protection for our animals. Since receiving and placing the collar on my dog, there seems to be no difference. He is consistently itching, chewing and biting. It breaks my heart to see him so uncomfortable. I'd really like to receive a refund for this product so I can put the money towards something that will give my poor puppy some relief :(

Get this or live with fleas

There may be others I don’t know about but after wasting my money on 2 doses within a month of Advantage II and having no relief, I bought my two dogs the Seresto collars. I had to wait before it was safe to add more chemicals to their body, but fleas began to decline. It takes a little time but is fairly quick, about a week. By that time I noticed the dogs chewing themselves less and fleas were not biting me.

Great!

I have used Soresto collars on all of my dogs since the day I got them. My youngest dog is one years old and she’s 5 pounds. These collars are the best thing ever! I have five dogs and it gets very expensive and these collars work amazing! As far as making their neck read or anything like that that has never happened and I don’t tighten it to the point to where it’s too close to the skin. That is bound to happen if you put it too tight. Never had an issue with these and I’ve been a customer of SORESTO since 2018.

Works

Fleas are bad this year. My dogs became infested. I tried a topical flea treatment and spray that did nothing to alleviate the problem. I decided to give these collars a try since they were more cost effective than chewables that would also require a prescription. After 12 hours and a bath with flea shampoo, we still had live fleas. After 24 hours, I could not find any live fleas.

Nope.

Got this collar because i thought it would be the cheapest option that works. I’m not knocking it working for fleas because i didn’t get that far. I put this on my 10 lb chihuahua and within 3 hours the skin on her neck was red and raw. Thankfully we noticed the side effects early with my other chihuahua, who is 9 lbs, and his neck is healed now. There is scabbing where the collar was. Do not recommend, watch your pet closely if they are little guys.

i was so desperate to find a solution for my dogs fleas it had gotten so bad, there was a point were i didn’t want to lay in my own bed because i knew they were there as well, i didn’t know what to do and had tried basically everything, this really was my last resort. I had used flea collars before but got little to no results but in 4 days my dog and cat (bought a separate cat collar) didn’t have a single flea on them!!! during the process it seemed like fleas were everywhere though its seems like there were trying to escape my pets and ended up everywhere but I’m writing this review 5 days later and can tell you i haven’t seen an alive flea in 2 days!!!
