Hondo's favorite Den
Okay, yeah, from a human standpoint, it looks flimsy. At 30x30 inches it may seem small for my 80 pound Malamute. The selling point of the K9 Sport Sack kennel pop-up dog tent was that it was light, easy to pack, and portable. Hondo showed me that he fits in it just fine, he can flex his "den" to any desired nap/sleep position, the fabric & seams are very durable and my walls are being saved from his claws, he can have it airy or closed in with a blanket (he brings me the "cover"), it holds all his favorite blankies, pillows, toys, and treats. He loves his flexible den. I tried getting him a proper wooden/plastic indoor/outdoor dog house and he just will not use it. This is his second one. The first one died of old age and chronic abuse.
Perfect Size
I needed 2 small kennels for our pups to use when we go out in the camper. Size, Weight and folding were a priority. This is perfect. we have 2 Jack Russel Terriers and they fit fine for sleeping with even a little room for moving around. This was exactly what I was looking for. Chewy had an excellent price on this product. It is well made. Had to watch a video a couple of times to get the hang of folding it up, but once you do it a couple of times it is easy. If you have a pet that claws at the net material, they will rip through it. We have taught ours NOT to do that, so we have no issue there.
She Loves It
Our little Havanese loves it. We got it to protect her in the backyard because she's afraid of flying insects. We put it in our bedroom to introduce her to it and she loves to go inside it and dig around and arrange her little blanket. It's a hit!
K9 Sport Sack
My small dog Molly loves her Sport Sack. She sleeps in it beside me on the bed surrounded by pillows so I don't have to worry about her falling off the bed, it's like her own little security cave.
Quick and Easy
I bought this for containment for class training and love how easy, quick and lightweight it is. My Boston Terrier is 16 pounds so it's a perfect size. It does move a bit as with any pop up but I just secure it between two chairs or against a wall.
Poor design
I purchased in case I need it for kittens, or other animals I rescue. I opened it immediately to check that it was OK and it popped out into shape. Problem is storing it. I tried to follow instructions and that really poorly made video. I collapsed it flat, took the opposite corners and tied to spiral it into a circle to put it back into its bag. It was not possible. Each time I tried I ended with a mess. What is worse, its frame is now completely twisted and does not hold any shape. Wire frame is so flimsy that it is easily bent with a little pressure. After a lot of trying, I wasn't able to bend the wires into something that would be a tent shape and I gave up. It is a good idea, but poorly designed and poorly made. It takes a lot of space and one should be able to easily store it when not in use. I think that I will have to throw it away.
my dog loves it
Once I opened the case it popped right up. It’s very spacious for my Yorkie. He absolutely loves this thing. Buying it for my sisters yorkie.
