Quality. Consistency. Kalmbach.

Kalmbach takes pride in producing a quality product, every time. That’s why their feeds are fixed formulated, to ensure you get the exact same feed every time you open a bag!

Your Flock Will Squawk!

Kalmbach Feeds offers a complete line of poultry feed tailored to your flock’s specific needs. Your birds will simply love these feeds, and your family will love the fresh, nutritious eggs you get from your Kalmbach-fed birds.

Fixed Formulated

Kalmbach poultry feeds are fixed formulated by their Ph.D. poultry nutritionists. That means their feed formulas stay exactly the same for every batch, so you can get the consistency you want in every bag. Many other brands change their formulas as commodity prices change, but not Kalmbach Feeds. Their bag-to-bag consistency will give you peace of mind and help your flock thrive, too!

Proprietary Blends

Kalmbach premium poultry feeds contain LifeGuard and YolkProud proprietary blends to boost your birds’ health and yield beautiful, vibrant eggs.

LifeGuard

LifeGuard is an all-natural, proprietary blend of prebiotics, probiotics, essential oils and digestive enzymes. It helps introduce beneficial bacteria into the gut to maximize intestinal health, and the specially selected essential oils help reduce stress and support healthy immunity.

YolkProud

Poultry owners take pride in their egg quality, and one healthy egg indicator is the color of the yolk. That’s why they call this blend YolkProud—a natural blend of flower and vegetable extracts can help you get the beautiful, vibrant egg yolks you want, for the ultimate source of pride!

This formula of feed can be fed as the sole ration on a free choice basis, year-round, to laying hens from 16 weeks of age.

Is this a crumble or a pellet?

Answer by ChewyApr 24, 2021
This feed is available in mini-pellet form.

Can this be fed if flock also has a rooster

Answer by ChewyOct 06, 2020
This high-protein complete feed is formulated for laying chickens.

Will this be a good balanced diet for peafowl ?

Answer by ChewyJun 07, 2021
This food should not be fed to peafowls. Full plume is a complete layer feed. The calcium levels are generally too high for most non-producing poultry.

We all know chicken egg production is reduced in the winter months. Combine with the winter months, mychickens had a traumatic event when their rooster was killed and that was almost the end of their egg production. I decided to try this feed with the increased protein a try. In less than two weeks it’s already increased their egg production 50%. I recommended highly.

Chickens approve

I got this to help my girls through molt. I also added a 50lb bag of chick starter for an additional pop of protein. They seem to enjoy it.

My chickens have only been on this about a week. I bought frizzles last year and it turns out they are all frazzles - and have had no wing feathers since spring. I have tried so many things. I don't know if it is the time of year, or the feed, but my girls are all starting to grow feathers. Definitely going to keep trying this!

Helps with fall molting

My poor chicken was molting so bad. This gave her the protein she needed to grow new beautiful, healthy feathers.
