So I had used different washing detergents and they would help with getting odors slightly out of bedding but I’d have to do double wash double rinse. My washer still had the urine smell and it would transfer to my loads. Now the smell is gone. My puppy doesn’t shed much so not sure how it works for hair in machine.

The Katziela Washing Machine Cleaner is so handy and easy to use. After washing our dogs blankets, there is usually hair stuck on the sides and even though I know they're clean the washer has an odor. Love the way you just toss in a packet of cleaner and run the washer. It was left so clean and smelled fresh. I plan on continued use of these.

I used this product as directed, I did take a before and after picture! My machine wasn’t what I would consider dirty but I had just ran a load of dog blankets and a load with medium size dog bed so I figured it would be a good time to try the product. It really wasn’t enough of a difference to make me want to actually buy the product! I have a top load washer, it may work better used in a front loading washing machine. This product is a good idea but it’s just not for me!

Before using this product, I had to do a lot of online research to make sure it was safe to use with a septic system. That is not plainly stated on the box or anywhere else I checked. I finally found this information on a listing for the same product on a competitor's website and, additionally, Googled all the ingredients. So that was a major inconvenience. I did determine that it was safe to use with our septic so I gave it a try. We don't wash our dog gear in our "people" washer since we run a kennel and have tons of dog laundry. I followed the instructions and used it on the kennel washer. The "after" smell of the drum was fresh but I don't know that it was that much of an improvement. Additionally, the instructions say to use it weekly, which seems a bit much. I'll use up all the cakes in the box and see if my opinion changes, but I don't really see that much value in our situation.

I followed the directions and threw one of these tablets into the washing machine, made sure it was on 'hot' and proceeded to run a 'normal' cycle. After it was done, I did notice the inside smelled a lot better! Got rid of the 'wet dog' odor. When I went to wash a load of clothes afterwards, the washer gave me a fault code. I removed the filter and it was full of nasty stuff. (I clean the filter at least once a month) and I'm wondering if this wasn't some of the hair left over from washing the dog/cat blankets. I definitely will try it again after I wash another load of dog/cat blankets to see if the same thing happens. If nothing else, the washer smells good!

After using it I had water all over the floor, kinda like using too much soap. So I reread the box thinking it's not for he machines. Doesn't say. So, I tried it a couple wash loads later and had the same issue. Not going to use it anymore .

I used this cleaner one time. I think while it is small and has some benefits, it may be best for those who have major issues with pet hair in their washing machine. Perhaps your machine has pet hair smell and needs assistance. I don't have those issues so I didn't make a big change in the cycle for me. I did notice some difference but nothing that called to me outright.
