The opening measures approximately 3 inches long x 3 inches tall and will fit a Roborovski dwarf hamster. The wood and sisal material are excellent chewing materials and promote good dental health in small animals.

I wasn't sure what Alonzo would think of this, but he sniffed this cubby, bonked the hanging ball with his head, and settled down inside. For about 5 seconds, then he thoroughly sniffed it and settled down again. Repeat! Now that he's had it a few days, he shews it a bit, then relaxes inside. He gives this cubby 2 paws up.

My girls love this!

Cute but rabbit didn't care
