All the birds will want to visit your yard when you put out Kaytee’s Seed & Mealworm Wild Bird Treat Cake! This high-energy treat is crafted with real ingredients birds love—like hulled sunflower seed, safflower seed and dried mealworms. It’s designed to attract a variety of birds including bluebirds, cardinals, chickadees, woodpeckers, wrens, robins and more. Unlike loose seed, this earthy treat cake creates less mess and lasts longer. Place the cake in a feeder station, hang it about five feet above the ground and watch your feathered friends flock your way!

These cakes have been a huge hit with the birds, squirrels and I even caught my dog trying to eat it one day. LOL. In a suet feeder, the Downy Woodpeckers really like it. And I sometimes break it up and put it on the ground and it's gone in no time.
Maybe the birds not into treats these days. Bc of the size, I cut it into smaller squares to fit into the suet cage. Unlike other reviews, it took 1 week for the first square to be consumed. I'll wait till winter to put the rest put.
