What are the carb %?

Answer by ChewyMar 14, 2022
Ketogenic only has the as fed data available. The carb content for Keto-Kibble™ is in the low single digits, ≤5%.

What percentage of fat comes from animal and not plant(the coconut oil and avocado oil part)?

Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2022
Ketogenic Pet Food is unable to provide a specific fat breakdown by ingredients. The organic chicken, freeze dried chicken and chicken fat are the primary contributors of fat to this diet. The nutritious oils boost the fat content even further, while also adding unique and beneficial health properties. Keto-Kibble Fat Boost is fundamentally a meat-based, naturally high protein, high fat diet.

If I lost 100 lbs and got healthy on keto, and knowing dogs and wolves do not dig up yams or chickpeas in the wild, and knowing cancer cells are the only cells that need tons of carbs, it's a no-brainer to get keto (low carb) food for my German Shepherd. She's eaten only keto since we rescued her 4 1/2 years ago. Her vet always says how healthy and trim she is, even skipping her annual tooth cleaning because plaque bacteria can't develop without carbs. That said, she needs more fat as her energy source, so I get this fat-boost version. The fattier pieces were well mixed top to bottom of the bag. She likes it. She's playful and healthy. Keto is right for dogs, not just "grain-free" which still has lots of cheaper carb ingredients, but real keto. My dog and I recommend this product.

We have a 17 yr old diabetic cat. We decided to put him on a ketogenic diet and found this food on the Chewy website. After researching the company that makes this kibble and after talking with our vet, we slowly made the Keto transition. That was 10 months ago and we’re happy to say our diabetic cat is no longer on insulin and his diabetes is being controlled with Keto Kibble and pate style canned cat food diet! The transition period was easier than we thought it would be because our cat simply LOVED this cat food. This diet is much better than the so-called “prescription” diets. We highly recommend Keto Kibble.

I have 3 120-lb. Great Pyrenees. As you can probably guess, they can really go through some food! This food is pretty expensive, but they are satisfied with about 1/4 as much. My dogs can eat whenever they feel like it. They never fight over food, and never eat too much, or inhale their food like it’s the last meal they’ll ever have. My point being that they control their own intake, and reduce it dramatically when this is their base food. I also mix in freeze-dried raw, and FreshPet. I’m switching them over to this food as their base on a permanent basis. Still will add the freeze-dried raw and FreshPet as toppers.

If you are looking for a performance diet for an athletic canine this may be for you. If, however, you are looking for a ketogenic diet for a pet with medical dietary needs you should absolutely look elsewhere. This product has an absurdly high protein content, you will never get ketone body production with this diet. Also, the fact that they can’t, or won’t, provide a complete nutritional analysis on request and can’t tell you about the percent calories from fat/protein/carbs is incredibly suspect to say the least.

Leto kibbles has a zero to negative dry matter basis carb content, lower than any prescription diabetic food. I mix 50/50 with prescription food for optimal outcome for kitty. As well, I feed to my other cats and if you have a issue with how palpable your prescription food is( most are not very tasty) cats love the taste and mixing guarantees your diabetic or other cat will dig in heartily. Good stuff

So far, so good!

My dog was just a little thick, but has also developed fatty tumors. Our vet's advice was for him to lose weight. I wanted him to go Keto given the significant anti-cancer evidence and my worry that any of his tumors could become cancerous. After switching to this food, he is definitely at an ideal weight. The tumors are still there but have reduced in size, and I remain optimistic about this diet's ability to starve cancer cells. As a bonus, he loves the food and his digestive issues have abated. The kibble is tiny so it's appropriate for toy dogs and, interestingly, cats. I have historically favored larger kibble for my 30 lb dog for its ability to clean teeth, but I am not concerned because an ultra low carb diet should prevent tooth decay as well. After trying many diets, I'm pretty sure this one will stick. Second bonus, many organic ingredients are used. Worth the money for the benefits. I wish more pet stores carried this food.

This and it’s dietary guidelines have finally helped my obese orange tabbie lose the 3 pounds he’s gained since being neutered 5 years ago. Found this after struggling for 3 years with various other options. It’s nutrient dense enough for my thinner cats and we’re now feeding it to our 5 month old puppy, streamlining feeding routines. Lots of gratitude towards this brand and this kibble.

I bought this when Wysong Epigen starch-free kibble was out of stock. It appears to be much the same thing ingredients and analysis-wise, but it costs nearly three times as much. I was hoping it would have enough of the freeze dried in it that I could replace the Sojo's we've been using (I feed all my dogs half freeze dried raw and half kibble). Nope. Not even close, even after turning the bag upside down and shaking it several times. This is probably 95% kibble and 5% freeze dried. I won't be buying it again. It's way too expensive for what it isn't.
