Use Ketogenic Pet Foods as a singular food for a meal, or as a supplemental food. To avoid digestive disturbances, mix with the present diet beginning at about 10% and then gradually increase proportions.
I bought this when Wysong Epigen starch-free kibble was out of stock. It appears to be much the same thing ingredients and analysis-wise, but it costs nearly three times as much. I was hoping it would have enough of the freeze dried in it that I could replace the Sojo's we've been using (I feed all my dogs half freeze dried raw and half kibble). Nope. Not even close, even after turning the bag upside down and shaking it several times. This is probably 95% kibble and 5% freeze dried. I won't be buying it again. It's way too expensive for what it isn't.
I was concerned when Organix stopped making the kibble I had given my kitties for years. After searching, I discovered this kibble. I know firsthand the benefits of a meat-based keto diet, and this sounded like a great alternative. But would my kitties like it? Yes! All three of them do, even the fussy one. They've had no trouble adjusting to it and even prefer it to what's left of their old kibble.
I've been buying this food for the past, oh, six months or so. Before this month, everything has been perfect. The cats love it, they've trimmed down considerably, and their coats are silky and soft. But this month, our first bag arrived damaged and obviously spoiled. The high fat content must make this formula more prone to rancidity, because our replacement bag has the same foul odor. I don't know if this is the new "normal" for this food; if it is, I don't care for it. Against my better judgment, I scooped some out for them. The kibble looks the same, but the freeze-dried nuggets look almost shredded. Not sure what's causing that. The older cat sniffs it and walks away. The younger, who is much less picky, has eaten a few mouthfuls of it. I'm watching both of them like a hawk to make sure this fresh bag doesn't make them sick. I chose this food because of the low carb content and high fat/protein. I'd otherwise rate it as a five star, but the manufacturer seems to have issues with this batch of kibble. I hesitate to contact customer service again, because they've already replaced a bad bag. Time to switch food again, I guess...
Decided to switch foods after a lot of research in order to get both cats eating the same food. One of our cats is diabetic and his food was extremely expensive, plus having to constantly monitor them to make sure each cat was eating their food only was annoying. Wanted to find a food that would work for both and so far, this has been a hit! Both are happy and ready for dinner time. Both look healthier and are more active/playful than they've been in years. Can't wait to find our if our diabetic buddy's insulin is better at his next appointment.
I ordered this and one of my three cats loved it. And what's more, she didn't vomit afterwards. I spoke with my Vet and was told not to feed it to my old cats because of the extremely high protein content. Chewy was wonderful about accepting a return without hassle.
I’m extremely picky. I used to like only one dry food which is the same one that I had been eating since I was born. This is the only one that I decided I like other than my kitten dry food. I can finally eat like a 17-month old adult. My mom was so relieved.
Since starting my cat on this food, his coat is full, soft and shiny.
The best in its class for sure! I can hardly believe the HUGE amount of freeze-dried chicken alone.. ALL my 17 cats go NUTS for this with its high 57% Protein and 24% fat content.. HIGHLY recommended!
My cats love this. It is a high protein, low carb food. No junk. I do feed it sparingly to my sensitive tummy cat. Too rich, causes her diarrhea. She has always had a problem with loose stool. The other 2 eat it with no issues.
