Can these heated beds from K and H be left plugged in when you leave for work or to run errands?

MET Safety Laboratories suggests unplugging the bed if you leave your home on an extended vacation, as they do with any electrical appliance. Otherwise, it is designed for 24/7 operation and you can leave it plugged in all day. This item has been certified by MET labs to adhere to strict electrical safety standards.

The dimensions are 16 inches long x 16 inches wide x 3 inches high.

My cat wouldn't get in the bed, so I put a blanket over it that smells like home. Is it safe to put a blanket on top of or under the bed or is that a fire hazard?

Can this be used without the heat activated? I may want to use it all year round

This cuddle up has an adjustable thermostat. When not plugged in, no heat will be directed to the bed.

Not as thick a cushion as expected

The first K&H bed that I bought through Chewy had a nice thick cushion and my cats love it. This one has a much bitter cushion, and you can almost feel the wires

That it was not what I wanted.

The sides were too low and the bed was poorly padded. I had ordered other heated beds several years ago and those were the ones I wanted. This one is a poor imitation

I bought this for my 19-year-old arthritic cat. I felt bad because I had to leave her in the kennel to go out of town and when I got home she couldn't walk. I had heard a warming bed advertised so I tried it. She had to be coaxed into it, but once she tried it, she loved it! I sadly had to put her back in the kennel to go away again, so I sent the bed with her. The staff says it is her favorite thing!
