Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off. Power chewers: Increase one or two sizes or try KONG Extreme.

have 3 of these; 2 small ones and this larger size. Stuff them with chicken roll food, 100% pumpkin, peanut butter - senior dog and 2 pups seem to all have difficulty and frustration with them. Tend to walk away from them after a very short while. Would be great on description if there's other food suggestions that we could try stuffing these with. Otherwise, they are rugged, durable and won't break apart
Kong products are usually the best on the market, even for heavy chewers because they don’t usually have things that you can be ripped off. When this arrived and I saw the little tiny pointy things that hold the treats I was afraid that my 7-month old, 8-pound Chihuahua mix puppies would be able to rip off a piece. Therefore, I watched them like a hawk and twice they were able to rip off a small piece. I only caught the second one as she was swallowing it. Shortly thereafter, she threw up but not the piece of rubber. In the trash it went.
Purchased this as a replacement for the one I’ve had for a while. It is not nearly as durable feeling, rubber seems softer and the seams have excess material that my pup will gladly obsess over and eat. A little disappointed that this won’t last as long as the older one.
My dog loves these toys there great for the small dog mint pedigree breath sticks keeps my pup happy for quite a while as you can see she really loves them, the red one is her oldest one just now starting to fall apart but still has life left in it, my moms dog stole and destroyed her first one cause she has a stronger bite then my girl, so I got these as replacements, she still chews on both this toy dose not deserve the bad rap it's getting, best dog toy I ever spent money on I will always stand by Kong and Chuck it, products the chuck it ball is the only one my dog can not destroy without years of use first same with Kong my dog still has her chuck it Balls and have barely ruined them at all, absolutely love these products highly recommended for any dog no matter how long they last I will never trust any other brands for good quality dog toys. Thank you chewy Keep up the good work.
This is a very tough toy! My puppy has *ALL* Kong toys only! He is an obsessive chewer and cannot have any soft & snuggly toys or stuffed animals. Thank God for Kong! :) Anyway, he is only 13 lbs. so this bone is a bit too large for him. When I fill the ends with pb, he will lick the pb out of the end, but will not chew on it. I would highly recommend this bone for a larger dog than mine. :)
This is Watson chewing on it without any treats in it. I saw other reviews and will keep an eye out to make sure he doesn't chew up the ends. When I first saw this I thought it was solid then I saw where you add treats. So I will watch to make sure he doesn't chew it up there. I wish they make solid ones.
If you have a dog that does nothing but chew on things, this might be the answer. I stuff 2 strips of Pup-peroni into the holes and it keeps our 6 month old puppy entertained for hours! Not only does the bone hold up to his crushing jaws, but the treats inside keeps him entertained!!!
it was difficult to get the treat in but easy for my 15lb dog to get out and she started tearing chunks off first use. I wish kong would use there black material for smaller dogs.
I just gave this toy to Koa for Valentine’s Day. Within the hour, the toy is full of cracks. We have several Kong toys- all amazing quality. I don’t know what happened to this one, but I’ll have to throw it away. Such a waste of money…. I’m really hoping this a fluke, and not the new standard…
Stands up to the puppy's chewing and keeps my 7 year old dog occupied and stimulated.
