Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Medium is a survivor, XL dead in 5 min
By GatorDestroyer on Feb 4, 2021
I’ve bought three of these gators over the last three years. My female golden has taken two completely apart, but somehow the (medium) one she’s had since she was a small puppy is still intact, mostly stuffed, and still has its squeaker. Between her and her younger brother, the second medium lasted about a month before being desqueaked and probably only 30% of its stuffing is left. The XL? That lasted maybe 5 min. There’s a significant seam on the underside of the XL that my female honed in on and that was the end of that. I’ll keep buying the medium since it’s cheaper and is far more durable. So the medium gets 5 stars, XL maybe 2.5 since they’ll still play with it without it’s guts. The medium I’ve bought three of these gators over the last three years. Photo is of the original that neither dog has attempted to destroy; any holes were accidental and not trying to murder the poor thing. It’s the ONLY toy that’s survived since puppyhood and has a bit of sentimental value at this point. … more

decent toy for price
By dogmom on Feb 23, 2021
My year old mixes are masters at destroying plush toys but they love them so much and we need to do something when the weather is bad up, so I keep trying to find one that will last. This was not it. The alligator did last a bit longer than previous toys, and the remnants are still entertaining a few days later, so it will stay in the rotation. While I was disappointed with the single squeaky, I do like that its in a little net which means I can get it out before the boys eat it. I always expect more from Kong toys, this one did not quite fit the bill but was close.

Disappointing
By Redhead on Feb 16, 2021
I received one of there alligators and it was soft and colorful but the squeaky doesn’t work. I called customer service and they were so nice and accommodating. They sent me out another one and unfortunately that one didn’t squeak either. It must have been a defective product, so please check the others that are in stock.

Great quality
By Maybird on Feb 13, 2021
I was very surprised by the quality of this item. The plush is very soft and cuddly and is well crafted into a sturdy material. My dog is a very aggressive chewer and he hasn't done any damage to the gator at all. It has even held up well after a few washes. I think this might be my favorite toy out of his very large collection.

Boo loves this baby!
By BoosMom on Feb 13, 2021
Boo loves this baby! She’s an English mastiff so she has a pretty strong mouth for toys but a strong nurturing love for them as well as she only likes squeakers! This fit all of her requirements LOL, one that she can love on, one that she can squeak, and one she can bring over for a little tug-of-war!

Cozie Ali the Alligator Dog Toy
By lita13 on Feb 21, 2021
My 14 month old German Shepherd simply loves this toy!! She just loves to pack it around and will bring it to someone to play with her with it. She loves to lay and chew on it, but it a tough Kong toy and won't tear or rip.

She loved it but.....
By Kathy on Jan 12, 2021
I gave this to my dog, an 11 year old 60 lb golden doodle, on Christmas morning. She seemed to like it, Before we had all of our gifts opened, she had chewed a big hole. Surprisingly it wasn't the ears, but the bottom (butt). Strange but true. I'd say it's not any stronger than any stuffed toy. It looks like the picture on the website. I had hoped that she might just love it and carry it around.

GREAT for price!!! Not for aggressive chewers.
By Rylie on Feb 5, 2021
Such a cute toy, great for price! BUT definitely not for an unsupervised aggressive chewer!! My pup could tear through this in minutes... however, I think the toys so cute I just watch and make sure he’s being gentle!

My puppy loves it.
By Toby on Jan 30, 2021
My pup is seven months old and is super destructive. I’ve been purchasing the Kong plush because they hold up very well. The only issue I had with this toy was the tail. He had it off in about two minutes and swallowed it whole but the rest of the toy has held up very well.

gator that fell apart at the seams in less than 24 hours
By silentsqueaker on Jan 11, 2021
bummer, we would love a replacement for this guy. he is already ripping at the belly seam in less than a day. my dog is not hard on plush toys, only ripping thru cheap ones, never his kong ones (we have an eagle, moose, now this one and we love them)
