My puppy loved this toy. However since getting his adult teeth in he has become an aggressive chewer so this is whats left of our poor alligator. He did love it though and still pulls out the little leg to chew on once in a while lol. I was just hoping since it was a Kong brand it would be a bit more durable.
Bought this toy for my dogs birthday, he absolutely loves it! He hasn't ripped it and its been over 2 weeks, he usually starts to create a hole and starts taking the stuffing out of his old toys by now. Definitely recommend buying this toy for your big dog who likes to be rough with their toys.
I have a 20lb chihuahua mix who’s known for tearing up toys so I decided to get her a “tough toy”. But when she got this toy for Christmas, she ripped the tail off, ripped open the eye and ate them. I feel like this toy would be good for a dog who’s not very destructive. It’s also not for medium dogs really, it’s pretty small.
I thought since it was Kong brand it was more durable, but this is just a stuffed animal with no reinforcement. My dog loved this for the day, and we tried to keep him from shredding it, but he just loved it too much too fast. Even after shredding it he wanted to carry around the largest soft piece of the fabric remaining and cuddle that, but it had to go in the trash. Thankfully he doesn't try to eat stuffing, squeakers, or pieces.
My rescue at the estimated age of 2 1/2 years young is still very playful. He enjoys all of his Kong toys. This one is still intact but he'll gradually remove the stuffing. Then he'll continue to play.
My dog is a chewer, so this didn't last very long with her, but I knew that was likely when I ordered it. The only slight disappointment was that the squeaker was a little small for the size of the toy and situated almost in the very back of the alligator. I like toys a little more when the squeaker is more centered, but even still, it's a cute toy and my dog enjoyed squeaking it for a bit before promptly tearing it to pieces.
has lasted as long as it has. I have a 110 lb GSD who LOVES to chew. Every other toy he has had lasted maybe 2 weeks before looked like someone tied its legs and arms to horses and pulled it apart. Granted the squeaky didnt last long, but he loves to play with this, Sleeps with this, and even tries to take it outside with him. So I am VERY pleased, and so is he!!!
I thought Kong products were supposed to be stronger. My 4 year old destroyed this poor Alligator in less than 10 min. In less than 10 min the tail was bitten off and stuffing was all over the house. Within 30 min she got the squeaker out of it as well. I need something for a chewer. Any recommendations?
My dog likes her alligator. She also has the rhino which she is more attached to but the gator gets a good amount of love too. Great for dogs who like stuffed toys but maybe not for those hard chewers/destroyers
I have a 7 month 25lb bordoodle who is not an aggressive chewer. I had to take this and her other Kong stuffed animal away they day I gave them to her because it's tail got ripped off and the seams broke. I expected more from Kong.
