Hi, what is the depth for an xl?

The Small has a depth of 3.5 inches, Medium is 5 inches, Large is 7 inches, X-Large is 9 inches and the XX-Large is 12 inches.

I have a weird question, I have 5 cats and 1 of them is hellbent on antagonizing the rest. Do you think this cone would prevent him from being able to attack the others so easily?

The KONG EZ Clear Collar promotes healing by preventing your cat from touching healing wounds. It will not stop your cat from antagonizing the others.

Can my dog wear it without a collar

This cone can be worn with or without a collar. Simply line up the Velcro strips to the properly positioned strip on the opposite side of the collar and press together, making sure it is not too tight.

My Russell Terrier is a small dog at less than 20 pounds. He has an 11 inch (circumference) neck. According to your sizing chart it looks like he will need a Large collar. Is this correct?

The Large is for neck circumferences of 10 to 13 inches, the Large would be suitable for your pet.

Very heavy

I got this for my little 14 lb pup with a small chihuahua head in preparation for her recovery from cataract surgery. I bought 2 e-collars. This one and Dogswell. This collar is very well made with thicker plastic, which made the e-collar very heavy, and can't imagine it is good for a dog's neck with this much weight hanging on it. The velcro is very strong and not easy to separate, which is good, but when I try to separate it to take it off, it made my dog nervous. The Dogwells one is much lighter with thinner plastic and yet still durable, and it uses clips to keep the cone close. I didn't use the clip, and I used the NITE IZE Gear Ties, and it fits perfectly and secure the cone very well. When measuring the size you need for your pup, measure the neck area right below the chin, not anywhere on the neck. The e-collar should sit right below the chin at the top of the neck.

I liked how the collar is taped off on the end closest to my cat's neck. The fit was good at the largest setting. I just wish the Velcro went all the way to the end of the plastic. I could have made it a little bit looser but it is an ok fit. I like that it is clear plastic and he can see through it. I think it bothered him less than the other types. No one wants to put a collar on a cat and no cats wants to wear it but I believe this is the best e-collar he has had. Unfortunately he does have to wear it often because of a condition, this is the best solution I have found for a bad situation.
