Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

It's been 3 weeks and my cat still has a bunch of fleas on his ears and nose. Should I apply another treatment and hope it will eventually work or assume it's not going to work for him and try something else?
Answer by ChewyAug 02, 2018
If you see fleas on your cat within a month after your pet receives flea treatment with Cheristin for cats, it is most likely these are new fleas that have very recently emerged from pupae and jumped onto the cat. These new fleas will be killed quickly before they can produce eggs that contaminate the environment.Consistent monthly application of Cheristin for cats should be maintained to provide continued protection for your cat against these fleas.

This is a new product to me. In addition to killing adult fleas does its properties include a flea growth inhibitor ?
Answer by ChewySep 25, 2017
This product is intended to kill fleas but not flea eggs, pupae and larvae. Female fleas can lay up to 50 eggs per day so there is potential for a large buildup of eggs, larvae and pupae, resulting in a constant supply of new adults emerging in the cat’s environment. We always encourage pet parents to treat all pets and surrounding areas in and outside of the home.

My cats are large, will one tube be enough
Answer by ChewyJul 21, 2017
Even if your cats weigh over 20 pounds using more than 1 single dose is not advised.

I have 2 kittens, 14 wks old & inseparable...they clean each other it a problem if they lick the treatment on each other's neck??
Answer by ChewyJun 16, 2021
You should not allow your cat to ingest this product.

The only way to go!

We have 7 cats. Birdie is a rescue, as are most of them. She is very allergic to fleas and breaks out in bumps which is our alert to put flea med on our fur kids. Cheristin in the only flea med we have found that works fast and long. We highly recommend it!

So far so good

I had been feeding a stray (I know I know) and brought a couple fleas into my indoor cat. Since then he started Cheristin and had the house treated and have not seen any fleas indoors (yard has been treated too).

Great treatment

I have 5 cats- (long story) two of which are rag dolls with long hair. I noticed “flea dirt” in the bathroom sink when they would drink from the running faucet. I tried baths with dawn soap, flea shampoo- nothing worked. So after doing research on this product, I opted to try it. I’m skeptical when using these types of products as I worry about adverse reactions. This stuff is incredible! It’s easy to apply- no adverse reactions- and best of all no more fleas!! There weren’t lots of fleas to begin with but neither did I want an infestation of them on the cats or in my house. I continue to monitor the cats using a fine tooth comb- and nothing! Initially I saw a few dead fleas on their fur within the first day but nothing now! (It’s now been a few weeks) I will apply another treatment on them in a month just to keep any flea issue under control! I highly recommend this product!! Just an added bit of info- additionally used diatomaceous earth surrounding the outside of our pool cage as well as spraying the pavers within the pool cage with flea killing product. Our cats do not go outside other than in the pool area. The combo treatment worked very well- I’m in Florida!

Best Flea Treatment Ever

Decided to try this on a whim after the last prescribed flea treatment did little to help my kitties. Super glad I did! My three cats are very different sizes so it's great that I didn't have to buy three different boxes for their weights. One of my girls is allergic to everything (including fleas!) and this is the first topical treatment that hasn't caused her skin to break out. It's been nearly a month since the first application and I've only found a few fleas on my cats since, all of which fall off dead shortly after. Great stuff! Will definitely be using this treatment from now on.

Great product

Was recommended by my vet when Advantage & Frontline seemed to not be as effective as they used to be. This one has worked fine for the last 3 years for my two cats.

Best topical flea prevention

Since moving to Florida in 1993, I have had a yearly battle with fleas. After having our vet recommend this product a few years ago, I find that it is terrific. Pet Armour Plus didn't work on all of my cats. And by buying through, I am saving money along with having something work on all 5.

Flea season

Flea season is almost year round here in Florida. So convenient to order Cheristin for cats from Chewy and delivered to my door. The only thing better would be they sent someone to apply it to my 3 cats. It works great and I have tried other brands, this one works for me!

Life changing product

I'd give it 100 stars I could. Most effective flea treatment I have ever used, it literally changed my daily life and my cats too. Haven't had to treat home for fleas in over a yr since I've been using this and my kitty w horrible flea bite allergies has been thriving when other top brands have failed. I hope the manufacturer doesn't change the formula of this and ruin a great product.

No more fleas!

There had been a flea infestation at my house, my poor cat was covered in them and it was awful. I had tried everything and nothing had worked for them. I came across this and after 1 day my cat was no longer covered in fleas. I would highly recommend this product!

Cheristin Flea Treatment

A friend at church told me about Cheristin and I asked my niece who works for a vet about it. She said it was a good product. I purchased Cheristin an was amazed at how well it works. Finally something that really works. Have my calendar marked for the next treatment.
