Not at all durable
I bought my first Kong retractable leash when I got my Havanese puppy in July. It lasted up until two weeks ago-when the actual leash part broke off at the clip. I bought another, and it lasted less than 48 hours. Same thing-the leash part broke off at the clip. This leash was being used for an 8 lbs puppy, so there wasn’t any pulling or anything like that. Thought this leash would be durable considering the brand.
Oh, snapped.
I have had this leash for 6 weeks. My 4 week old puppy is approximately 12 lbs, not bringing a lot of force to the equation. The lead snapped, then recoiled into the spool. One star.
bad leash
This is the worst leash I ever bought. I try to put brakes on it and it slips. I do not feel my pet is secure or that I have control. Worse leash.

Okay probably not strong enough for my dog will go to a length lock it sometimes difficult to get unlocked
Small handle
The leash is fine. But I don't know who the handle is designed for. Small dogs don't have small owners necessarily. I bought the XS for my 7# Chihuahua so that the hook wouldn't be too heavy. But the handle is laughably small. I bought Kong hoping the brake would last longer than a year as in the case of my past 2 retractable leashes of other brands. But really Kong needs to get a clue about people's hand sizes.

I bought the one for 18.00 but not strong enough for my 32 lb Boston Terrier - otherwise it is a great leash.
