    Awesome chew toy

    By boid12003 on Sep 26, 2021

So, my boys are aggressive chewers. I have been beating the pavement and internet looking for toys and chews that will keep these two big puppies actively entertained for a period of time and not fall apart where they are swallowing bits and pieces. Now I can't say if this is any better than other, so-called, "dental toys". Frankly, I still rely on Greenies as I am not worried about weight gain and only brush their teeth occasionally when they allow it. I can say that these things are amazing at entertaining my boys even without treats or Kong spread added in. The nubs are small and rounded. This was especially relevant for me as my boys "pull' with their teeth at any chew they get their "paws So, my boys are aggressive chewers. I love Kong toys and they are really worth a try. … more

    Avid chewer friendly

By HappyDog on Sep 17, 2021

I purchased this toy a few weeks ago for my dog as something different than the bones and ropes I always get her (since she destroys everything else in a matter of minutes). She had a rope toy with a ball attached and absolutely loved that toy, but the ball simply wasn't sturdy enough for her jaws. Knowing how much she enjoyed that toy, I decided to try this one out. Since arriving, this Kong ball has easily become her favorite toy. She chews on it constantly and I think the different ridges and textures feel really good on her gums. I sometimes even put peanut butter in the ridges as a way to distract her for a while if I have work to do. Be careful!

By Bigdog on Sep 21, 2021

We generally like Kong toys, and my dog loved this toy, but one of his canine teeth pierced the ball and the ball got stuck in his mouth. We had an extremely difficult time getting the ball out of his mouth. I shudder to think what might have occurred (possible suffocation) if we hadn’t been home when this happened. Perhaps it was a freak accident, but I would not feel safe giving a dog one of these balls again.

Held up and my Pittie mix loves it

By Mary on Oct 5, 2021

This ball has held up to 3 weeks of constant chewing. Impressive for any toy! I think its because my dog likes the texture and doesnt clamp down all the way. Either way it definitly was worth it! Its her favorite toy at the moment.

    not for strong chewers

By corsomom on Sep 23, 2021

kong usually makes great stuff but the way this ball is made, my boy chewed right through it in an hour. it's like 8 pieces put together vs. one stronger, solid piece. all the pieces are now everywhere. i'll have to stick to their other products.

My dog searched in box in her own and found a new toy!

By Dachy on Aug 19, 2021

I placed box on floor and my dachshund started searching thru brown paper , you know how nosey they can be , picks out Kong Dental chew toy with cardboard still attached as happy as can be! I had to pry it away from her to get the cardboard off lol have to admit, I bought the ball ( she must have these kind of indestructible kind ) to avoid shipping. I had forgotten I bought it as well as her.

    GREAT BALL for a chew'r

By Lola on Aug 18, 2021

We have a very active 45-50lbs Springer, destroys every ball we have given her for 6yrs. This one is holding up. It is soft enough to play catch, doesn't go thru drywall, bounces off wood floors (if dropped). Tuff enough to be constantly torn into. If your dog is a slobb'e'r'r This might get gross, it has lots of cavities for water to collect. All in All GREAT FIND!

It all depends on your dog

By Rhea on Jun 18, 2021

My GSD is an avid chewer. I thought because it was a fairly firm toy and had no squeaker that maybe I would have one afternoon of peace and quiet. I also bought it because I like to keep her teeth healthy. This toy lasted all of 15 minutes. The problem I have is that it comes apart in sections and if I had not been watching her, she would have eaten all the pieces. Back to the drawing board!

    Fun and strong

By Millie on Aug 3, 2021

This is the best way I’ve found to get my puppy used to tooth paste. She sees a tooth brush and runs. It’s a great ball and I’m not worried my dog will break it apart.

    Good option for destructive dogs

By Nicole on Apr 22, 2021

Has kept an “irish terrier” who thinks he is a pit bull busy for almost 2 months, which is a huge accomplishment. It is a solid rubber ball with grooves and teeth cut outs. It satisfies his constant urge to chew and hasn’t broken down that much, yes small corners are missing but nothing major. It is definitely worth a try if your dog was ripping apart the other Squeaky Kong balls (which he loves), those would only last him 1-2 weeks.
