Measurements are off
My Border Terrier measured as a size XS. I even measured him 4 times to confirm I had it right. I asked both Chewy & Kurgo which size I should get him based on his measurements, & they both recommended XS. The XS was so tight my dog couldn’t move his legs or neck. That being said, it’s very well made & I’m glad I ordered the next size up as a backup because it fits well enough. It’s tightened as tight as it will go, & it’s still a tad loose, but it’s doable - especially when he’s also wearing the size small K9 Core sweater underneath. We love the harness access - why doesn’t every brand do that?! And we love the price point, especially for the quality you get. The reflective strips are nice, but I do wish they were even more prominent. We live in a really dark area & rely on the reflectors most during winter. It isn’t quite noticeable enough for me to feel comfortable with a driver going past.
Nice jacket but shorter than desired
I went by the neck and chest width to chose the correct size for my dog. The fit is good but unfortunately the length is a little shorter than I would have liked. I am not sure whether a size larger would have been a better choice. Other than that one issue I think the jacket is of good build quality and should work okay.
excellent quality
I really like this raincoat, it’s super easy to put on. I just wish it came in a different color. But some times a girl has to sacrifice style to stay dry. She is a 68 pound American Bully
Great raincoat!
I really like this raincoat. First, it is perfectly water repellant but also thinly lined inside giving slight warmth as well. It is a nice mellow yellow instead of "schoolbus". Once I figured out how to put it on it fit fine and worked perfectly. I had to pull the straps out of their holders in order to open up the coat, then put it on. My dog enjoys walking and some running in the rain now!
Best Doggy Raincoat out there!
This thing is so far superior to every other raincoat I've tried - the buckles are very secure, super adjustable, fits my 70 lb pit-boxer-lab like a glove so he can run around in the rain like normal. Highly recommend!
Runs large
This is a well constructed rain repellent and sturdy. It was actually too stiff and large for my Shichon. I ordered a medium, the recommended size for my dog; however it was too long and wide for his girth. Would probably be better for larger dogs.
Pretty good raincoat
Seems very well made (time will tell), is waterproof (again,time will tell) and is easy to get on/off. The neck gaiter is a nice touch, the leash hole is in a good spot and the yellow enhances visibility. The cons: it only has one, under belly, strap holding it in place, so the back just kind of sits there and flops around. This coat is very rigid, so turning corners means the rear of the dog becomes exposed. Our girl also has a non-stop dog-wear coat for winter (highly, highly recommend), that has leg loops to keep it from flopping and to keep it attached in the wind or deep snow. This coat could benefit from something similar. Also with the way the under belly section attaches to the rest of the coat (male connectors on under belly piece, female connectors on coat outer), you can't use the under belly section to hang the coat to dry. The coat needs to be hung via the neck hole or buttoned like when in use. A minor annoyance, but the ability to have it sort of spread out while hanging would be really nice. Overall, I like it, but a few small changes could make it much better.
Rain Jackets
Made very well. One dog neck is 16 girth 27. Med is perfect. His length is 24 and this coat covers him. These will be perfect with the 10 months of rain but I will put fleece under during or heavy cold rain season.
gorgeous raincoat
This is a beautiful raincoat but unfortunately it goes over the head and my dog freaks out when you try to put anything over his head. It is well made and smashing but I have to return it. If you have a non-neurotic dog you will love it.
