Inspired by a dog run, the Auto Zip Line restrains your dog to his area so he can't cause a distracted driving accident, while still giving him some freedom to move back and forth as well as sit and stand. Just connect the Auto Zip Line between any two fixed points in a vehicle and use the included leash to attach your dog's harness to it. The leash easily connects and disconnects from the zip line when getting in or out of the car, which means instant transition from vehicle restraint to walking lead (yeah, Kurgo thought of everything).

The Auto Zip Line is not a harness it is a restraint system to help prevent distracted driving. It keeps your dog confined to a specific area and not roaming around the car. It can be used in the backseat or the cargo area.
Recommended for use with the Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Harness, Black or the Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Harness, Red.

About Kurgo Gear
Kurgo believes that your dog deserves to go everywhere you go, safely and comfortably. Way back in the early 2000s, before dog travel gear was a thing, Kurgo set out to solve a problem: how to keep the family dog from jumping in the front seat of the car. After lots of brainstorming and prototypes, their Backseat Barrier was born. Twenty plus years later, they’re still finding new ways for you and your dog to go together in confidence.

I got this for my dog and we love it. Recently, we started traveling with another friend and their dog and the zip line easily works for both big mitts hooked up to it so they can swap sides, sit and lay down.
Well I had high hopes for this product bit my 2 year old GSD came unclipped from it 3 times in one car ride. Not meant for dogs who move around a lot, how she unclipped herself 3 times during our drive not only upset me and almost caused me to get in an accident but back to a crate for our drives from now on. Very disappointing to say the least
I bought this to help keep my Great Pyrenees puppy contained in the back of my SUV. It did for 2 weeks until he chewed through the strap. I sent pictures of it and a copy of my receipt to the company but no reply. I purchased another just like it but the same thing happened. I’m done with this brand!
This is allows us to keep our dog safe while allowing movement for comfort. We also use it in our convertible. Our dog wears goggles, of course. :)
Our 12 week old Rottie puppy chewed through the zip line on our first 10 minute ride. Her puppy teeth were stronger than the zip line. Since then we just use the leash portion to keep her safe in the back of our SUV. That has worked very well. Wait until your pup is done teething to use.
This is purchase #2 so we have one in each car. Its easy to install/switch, but both cars aren't always here. After several years there are no signs of wear with a 90lb dog who runs back and forth between the windows for the whole car ride. I'd recommend this brand, and a great price on Chewy.
Wish I bought this a long time ago. It’s durability, different adjustments it’s what I needed for my King.
This product is so flexible and adjustable to allow as much movement with safety as you choose. We're using the zipline (attached across the back seat using the handles above our car's windows) and lead attached from our dog's harness (back clip). We've adjusted it so our husky can walk across the back seats, sit or lay down on the back seats, but cannot slide to the floor or towards the front in case of a sudden stop. It's also easy to attach the lead to the dog's harness and attach/remove from the zipline, to use as a short lead. Our dog is as happy with this safety car lead as we are!
I love Kurgo products and I needed a new restraint system for my dog. I really should've thought about it first but, I really didn't realize the problem until I put Jaxx in the car and drove around. I really can't figure out how this helps with safety. If you are in an accident, your dog will go flying. It will keep them in the back but not protect them from slamming against the doors. The zip line also loosened throughout the day. I know tethers work, I just didn't want him to be stuck on one side of the car.
I really loved this zip-line/leash because my pup moves from window to window and he would always get tangled with the other car attachments. He’s able to move around better and lay down without being in an uncomfortable position. I would say if you have a small dog, the carabiner does have some weight to it so I don’t know how heavy that would be on them. My German Shepherd pup doesn’t seem to mind it though.
