Size Different in Box
By Tink on Mar 4, 2021
Good but not the right size. I purchased this harness knowing I would need it at some point in time to help my dog on stairs or in/out of the car. The product description says 40-80 lbs. I didn’t realize the package said 50-90 lbs. until I went to use it this week following my dogs surgery. It is too big for her the Velcro strap goes past the strip. I’ve tried to make it work because I needed something to help her but she feels insecure with because it’s doesn’t fit snugly. I should have tried it sooner. If you have the 40-80 lbs size I would prefer to get that one if you tell me how.

Prefect for us
By Drake on Jan 4, 2021
Our 80 lbs 10.5 year old Australian/Lab mix that already has Spondylosis had a accident that took his back out while with his fur siblings. After a few hours at emergency care he still could not walk with his hind legs. After care at Hospital was completed he was sent home with strict orders of only going outside to relieve himself then back in for complete rest for 2 weeks. Orders were to sling him while he walks. That was completely back breaking for US. While he was in emergency care I was googling this product, ordered it and was waiting impatiently for it to be delivered (it only took 2 days). I say impatiently because he is 80 lbs and lifting him while outside with a makeshift sling was Our 80 lbs 10.5 year old Australian/Lab mix that already has Spondylosis had a accident that took his back out while with his fur siblings. One thing to note on this is if you have a male make sure private's are within the notch on the harness. We needed to wash a couple times after use as we didn't have it just right. I would give more stars if possible. Happy to say our pup also has recovered quite well so it helped him too. … more

Came in handy
By Cindy on Jan 15, 2021
Initially I had returned this item it wasn’t malleable the material. Recently, I had an emergency visit to the vet and this device assisted in carrying a very ill 60 pound dog. it was useful. I was glad I purchased. I wanted to update it I think I wrote a bad review. When my dog wasn’t ill I didn’t see a use for this.

Lifter broke
By Lift on Dec 2, 2020
This worked so well for our 60 pound lab. Every night we would use it to get her down the steps to our bedroom. We received this lifter at the end of may 2020. Unfortunately it broke a month ago. It came apart at one of the seems where it is sewed. At the part where it goes around the breast of the dog. Fortunately our dog did not have any injuries, but she did slide down 6-7 steps before landing at the bottom.

exactly what i needed
By Zola on Oct 25, 2020
My doggie had a meniscus and ACL repair. He cannot bear any weight on his knee for weeks. The vet recommended i use a towel.as a sling - this is soooo much better, and distributes the weight much better. Safer for both him and me. My dog is a bully terrier mix - weighs 60 lbs I recommended the surgeon suggest this for all dogs undergoing ortho surgery. Thank you Chewy for stocking this and for the very prompt delivery.

PERFECTION!
By GratefulOwners on Nov 22, 2020
Our German Shepherd mix, Fancy, is close to turning 14 years old. She was recently diagnosed with Cutaneous Lymphoma, which, for her, has been rapid and aggressive. Immediately upon diagnosis, she suffered an event caused by the lesions on her brain, which has left her with unresolved vestibular issues. We chose not to pursue traditional cancer treatment due to her age and condition. That left us with trying to maintain quality of life for her and keeping her comfortable. She still has her personality, her appetite, and her will to live. Our biggest challenge was coming up with a way to support her mobility. She can't rise on her own, remain standing on her own, or walk more than 2-3 steps on Our German Shepherd mix, Fancy, is close to turning 14 years old. She still has her personality, her appetite, and her will to live. Our biggest challenge was coming up with a way to support her mobility. She can't rise on her own, remain standing on her own, or walk more than 2-3 steps on her own. While relieving herself, she relies on us to support her full weight. We scrambled to come up with a quick solution and settled upon using a thick mover's blanket to hold her up. This wasn't a perfect solution, and our backs were telling us that it wasn't sustainable. Her vet recommended euthanasia, and I'd be lying if I said that we didn't strongly consider it. Seeing her suffer simply isn't an option. Thankfully, we decided to give her more time. I jumped on Chewy to see if there was anything we could possibly rig up to allow us to help her. That's when I came across the Kurgo Lifter. I ordered it immediately, and with Chewy's lightning fast shipping, we had it in our hands in what I believe was less than a day. We owe this company so much gratitude for offering a product that has given us precious weeks (so far) with our Fancy that we would not have had otherwise. It is EXACTLY what we needed. We couldn't ask for anything more. Its wide, velcro straps allow the lifter to be used on dogs of different sizes, and it couldn't be simpler to use. Our old gal isn't the greatest with giving us a lot of warning when she needs to go out. With this product, I can have her standing, get the lifter strapped on, and have her heading out the door in 10 seconds or less. It's comfortable for her, its handles are the perfect length for supporting her without having to bend over, and I have zero fear of the stitching failing at the times when we need to support 100% of her weight. I could go on, but I think my point has been made. This product is the reason we have gained so much more time with our girl, instead of having to say goodbye too soon. To those of you reading the reviews and are still on the fence about purchasing it: do it. You have nothing to lose. To Kurgo and Chewy: you have our eternal gratitude for connecting us with this incredibly simple, life changing product. We can't thank you enough! … more

Harness size
By doggy on Sep 9, 2020
On the size it says one size 40-80lb dogs. When mine came the size says 50-90lbs. It's too big. The 40 would fit him perfectly and I would give it a Def recommend but now I have to return and not sure if they actually have a smaller one size fits all???

Quality Product

I purchased this harness for my senior Labrador retriever (almost 13) who was about 70lbs at the time, the harness is well built and it fit him great. My intention was to lift him up with the harness (stairs, car) as he was having trouble with only few steps and never cared to be picked up. This type of harness I don't believe is meant to be actually left on the animal, just for assistance when you need it. Unfortunately, was never actually able to use the harness on my pup as he passed over the rainbow Bridge. I offered to send the harness back and Chewy is such an amazing company , they not only refunded me, they asked I donate the harness to a local shelter so another furry one could put it I purchased this harness for my senior Labrador retriever (almost 13) who was about 70lbs at the time, the harness is well built and it fit him great. Extremely helpful!!
By Jessa on Aug 18, 2020
I have a neurologic dog that loses feeling in her legs after she seizes. We were using a towel under her belly to carry her and help her walk and get stable but this is so much more helpful! Highly recommend!!
