Trying to find good treats for my guinea pigs can be difficult. My two piggies are always begging for a snack, so I am constantly looking for food and treats that are healthy yet appetizing! I’m so happy to have discovered Lafeber’s “Hey! Berries” bell pepper and cilantro flavored guinea pig snack clusters. The ingredients are outstanding and adhere to a guinea pig’s specific dietary needs. Each treat contains whole ingredients you can actually see, such as timothy hay, oats, cilantro and bell pepper. I especially liked how they contained no artificial colors/preservatives, were low in calcium/fat, yet high in fiber and vitamin C. My sweet guinea pig, Martha, absolutely loved them, especially when I hide a few around the cage to allow her to forage. My other pig, Maybelline, wasn’t too sure at first, but eventually nibbled on a few pieces. I think “Hey! Berries” will become a new addition to my girl’s treat assortment.

These guinea pig treats are made with good ingredients, including vitamins and minerals, and have timothy hay as their first ingredient. They are small balls that look like a bunch of tiny piggy pellets stuck together - very different than other treats I've seen before. You can see the chunks of bell pepper in them, and they smell like peppers, too. We gave them to 8 piggies with mixed results. The five boys wouldn't eat them. They seemed interested in the smell, but that was about it. The three girls, on the other hand, really liked them.

Great treat for guinea pigs! I hand fed my guinea pigs who are usually pretty picky and they seemed to really enjoy these treats. They smell super fresh too! They are kinda soft and sticky which I find nice because you can break the chunks up super easy and scatter in the cage. The ingredients list is super awesome and overall this is a great treat to give you your small critters!

I got these for my little guinea pig. He really seems to love them. I feel the smell of them were inviting and he definitely loved the taste as he it’s all of it

While these obviously don’t replace veggies they are a convenient treat when I’m trying to rush out the door but he wants a snack and I don’t have time to chop some veggies before work.

I think this is a healthy snack for them so I was hopeful and happy that the next time I offered them they ate them right up. I switch up the treats but they are very happy to gobble these up when they are offered!

At first, I think it was a bit too different from their normal hay and kibble. But when I broke up the “clumps” of kibble into solitary pieces, then they went after them and emptied the bowl. Apparently even old guinea pigs can learn new tricks!

Also there are a lot of ingredients in these treats, normal ones I get are pretty basic so it does make me question if these are good for piggies or not.
