Love the length and padded handle. Was using a cheaper cotton training lead that was ripping from use and years of different puppies/young dogs chewing on it. I use this leash for walks on a nature path. My dog loves to roam on the sides of the path but is still not 100% with recall, so he has to be leashed. The one thing that I wish they would fix on this leash, even if it added a few dollars to the price, is a better "snap". I've only been using the leash for about 2 weeks and the snap is already hard to open when clipping the leash onto my dog's collar. It is very low quality compared to the leash and I think will be the first thing to fail.
Great quality; however, not exactly 15 ft
I have had this leash for close to two years and it has held up very well. Mine has been through heat, cold, high humidity, mud, snow, rain, puddles, gravel, sunshine, dirt, puppies and 85lbs dogs, etc. I am lazy so when it gets too dirty I put mine in the washing machine (in a mesh bag) and let it air dry. So far, no rust spots or fraying at all. I rated it 4/5 because in normal use it is noticeably less than 15 feet long (even when I first got it). The length of mine (laid flat with no tension) from the tip of the bolt snap to the very end of the handle is generously 14 ft 4 in... so its functional length is more like 13 ft 6 in - 13 ft 9 in depending how one wants to measure it. From bolt snap to the D-ring by the handle is usually at 13 ft 8 in on mine. When laid flat and pulled completely taut, it measures 15 ft 1/4 inch from bolt-snap to tip of the handle (but if a dog is pulling hard enough to make it that taught, one is likely to be holding the handle which will make its functional length shorter).
This is a great leash. Love the padded handle. The leash is strong yet light. It is a good length for sniffy walks. The extra clip can be used to attach pick up bags or double the leash through a ring and clip.
This is my training leash. It short enough that I can't get into trouble, but long enough that I can feel independent and start to learn my manners without the need for leash pressure. My human likes the padded handle but would prefer a self locking carabiner clip.
This is great for handling our 6 mo old English Shepherd who is very energetic. Great length for walking and occasionally letting him run loose with it on our property, and has a very nice handle to hold onto. It's texture is also very sturdy and strong to put up with his occasional chew.
Hardware big for small dogs
Nicely constructed and functional leash, but has larger, heavier materials and buckle/snap. It’s a little bit large for my dog (20 lbs). I called Chewy and they were very reasonable and accommodating with regard to the return process. Probably a good option for dogs 30 lbs and larger. I wish I could find a similar 10-foot leash with less material and smaller hardware.
20’ Dog Leash
Great for the park can use short or long length. Had this for about a month and use daily, holding up well
Dog loves it
A great leash, sturdy and comfortable to use. Makes walking the dog easy and a pleasure
This is a sturdy, well-made leash. Definitely long enough for some further away snifffing and long enough for our small dogs to get tangled (downside) but overall a very nice lead.
Recently decided to start long lead training with my rescue. She enjoys the extra freedom and I like that I can still have control. Purchased the 15 foot leash and it works well for our needs and is sturdy.
