my dog used to eat so fast that he'd think he was still hungry... He came from a house where he was neglected. He was skin and bones when he came to me, so I got this bowl to help show him that he has food and he's getting full. It really helped, even if it frustrated him at times. But I no longer need to use these types of bowls because he is much calmer about his food now and even leaves some sometimes in his regular bowl, so he can eat it later.

I wasny crazy about the pattern o this slow feed bowl, course, tight edges on pattern made it more difficult than needed to be for her JRT size nose

Then it wouldn’t stress out my dog, not being too much in the simple design

We use it just once a day during his morning feeding and it takes him about 20 to 30 minutes to eat which has helped with digestion and has taught him he needs

Good challenge

Basically, I like the bowl. I should have gotten the larger capacity because 2 cups takes it to the brim and both dogs eat fast so I'm frequently picking morsels

Basically, I like the bowl. I should have gotten the larger capacity because 2 cups takes it to the brim and both dogs eat fast so I'm frequently picking morsels off the floor. However, the bowl itself has been good mental stimulation for them and although they still eat fast, they can't consume as much food at one time so less likely to choke.
