What steps should I take before adding this to an aquarium?

Dragon Wood usually sinks on its own in 1 to 2 weeks’ time. Some large and x-large pieces will sink faster. Boiling aquarium driftwood will speed up waterlogging and the release of tannins. Tannins leeched from wood will provide a natural tint to water, but will gradually dissipate based on the frequency of water changes.

2 pieces, not 4. Not really worth it.

Lots less than I would have thought, by almost half. Not worthless but not nearly as great a deal as the photos above would suggest. I got one good piece, one marginal

Lots less than I would have thought, by almost half. Not worthless but not nearly as great a deal as the photos above would suggest. I got one good piece, one marginal piece, and two slivers of wood. Is this worth $20? Dunno. I still have one more box in transit as they only shipped one when I purchased 2 (I had to go through help to have the second one shipped), so maybe the second, late box will be better

This is only one piece. Even though in every picture it shows multiple pieces. In the description it even says pack as in more then one. I brought a couple of other pieces when I purchased this one and none were described as pack nor was their multiple pictures of multiple pieces. And it's four times the amount of money for one piece

Who knows how many you'll get

I started with buying the "pack" of 4-6in pieces for my 10 gallon set up. I recieved like 9 pieces and it was great. Filled the tank up and looks great. I did

I started with buying the "pack" of 4-6in pieces for my 10 gallon set up. I recieved like 9 pieces and it was great. Filled the tank up and looks great. I did boil for an hour, got fresh water and boiled for another hour and am still getting tons of tannins releasing, but I can live with that. So I went back and ordered the bigger one, which after receiving it I now see it says "piece", which that it is. So I guess they technically didn't lie. I guess I was just expecting a pack of larger pieces. I also ordered another "pack" of the smaller ones but only got 3 pieces this time. The wood looks good and so far performs as it should, I just don't know what to expect if I were to order it again.
