the feed does not seem to flow thru the tube at bottom of feeder it seems to long should i cat part of it off?

Crumbles work just fine. However we had to cut off 1/8 inch of tube to get pellets to feed correctly.

I’ve owned two of the largest feeders and loved them. Best feeder ever! Recently, I bought the medium sized one and the crumble just doesn’t flow in its own. I have to keep sticking my fingers underneath to get more feed out. Why? Frustrating to say the least.

Does the food stop when the tray is full?

The waterers and feeders should be able to withstand rain, wind, and sun - however, we do not recommend them for snow/ice/colder temperatures as once the water freezes, it may damage the base.

Great, but has some Dispensing Flaws

* If you are getting this for chicks (45lb model), make sure they are older than 6-7 weeks. Even our Buff Brahma chicks had to stretch pretty far to reach the feed;

* If you are getting this for chicks (45lb model), make sure they are older than 6-7 weeks. Even our Buff Brahma chicks had to stretch pretty far to reach the feed; I ended up stacking some scrap wood for a platform to stand on. The Ameracaunas and Polish were barely taller than the legs haha. My fault though, haven't had chickens before and hard to get perspective until you see it in person. Holds a TON of feed. My only complaint is that it doesn't dispense very well. Went out several times a day to check and often it's just crumbs/dust in the bin. I had to shove a couple of pebbles between the red stand and where the feed container sits in order to raise it just enough to dispense feed properly.

great feeder

I bought the feeder for my peacocks and turkeys and they love this feeder, I highly recommend it. The only thing though you do have to use crumbles and not pellets

poor design

food does not glow into bucket as there is not enough space between the outlet and the bottom of the feeder very disappointed not worth the hefty cost!!

Feed won't drop into tray.

I received this feeder above 30 minutes ago. It was a very quick and easy set up. I got it out to the chicken run, filled it with feed, and almost nothing fell into

I received this feeder above 30 minutes ago. It was a very quick and easy set up. I got it out to the chicken run, filled it with feed, and almost nothing fell into the feed tray. It was totally stopped up inside the drop tube. Not exactly what I expected, especially for the cost. Extremely disappointed in this. I thought it might be something more beneficial than having 3 10 pound hanging feeders in the run, but to my total disappointment, the hanging feeders are a million times better.

Large capacity

I like the large capacity of this feeder. It fits a bag of feed and lasts a long time. However, you have to tend to it daily. The dome has to be lifted by the handles

I like the large capacity of this feeder. It fits a bag of feed and lasts a long time. However, you have to tend to it daily. The dome has to be lifted by the handles on the capon order for pellets to slide down into the feeder areas. Feed does mot slide down without help.

This has solved the messy problem. Our girls always made a mess so we took to feeding them manually once a day. With this, we can put the food out and they don't

This has solved the messy problem. Our girls always made a mess so we took to feeding them manually once a day. With this, we can put the food out and they don't spread it all around. We still give them some treats occasionally but now they can eat whenever they want and it doesn't get wasted because they can't spread it all over and make a huge mess, which also helps with pest control. Very good product.
