Instructions
To clean your LupinePet gear, machine or hand wash with warm (not hot) water and mild soap. No bleach, brighteners or whiteners. Air dry only – do not put them in the dryer. For extreme situations, pre-soaking in an enzymatic cleaner like Nature’s Miracle or Simple Solution may be helpful. When machine washing, put items in a mesh bag or include items in with jeans or other sturdy clothes. Shampoos and other topical treatments that contain bleaching agents, clarifiers, medicines or other chemicals can cause colors to transfer to your pet’s fur. When washing your pets gear, bathing your pet or applying any of the above, we recommend that their gear be removed until the items and/or your pet’s fur are completely dry.

FAQ
LupinePet products are proudly built in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, using high-quality materials sourced both domestically and internationally.
The most accurate way to choose the correct size range and ensure a proper fit is to measure your dog. A fabric dressmaker’s tape measure is easiest and most accurate. Or, you can use a piece of string and then measure that. You'll want to measure your dog’s girth (around the ribcage at the widest point) comfortably snug against the fur while your dog is standing. Take the actual measurement and add 5% to determine the best size range. This harness is 3/4’’ wide and available in three adjustable sizes: 12-20”, 14-24”, and 20-32”. Please note that all items are handmade. Because every item is cut and sewn by hand, here at our workshop in New Hampshire, it is possible that there will be some variance in our size measurements.
Unbuckle the clasp on the girth strap. The strap with the D-ring should be on top with the D-ring pointing towards the tail. Place the two adjustable shoulder straps over the dog’s head. Pick up the dogs left front paw and place over the sternum strap, so that the strap passes between the front legs. Adjust and buckle the girth strap, this strap should be supported by the rib cage all the way around. Adjusting the shoulders smaller will shorten the front-to-back length of the harness. Adjust the sternum strap to a comfortably snug fit. If you’re unfamiliar with this type of harness, watch our step-by-step guide:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQVpureyykI
Yes! The harness features a welded, nickel-plated steel D-ring, making it easy to attach a leash securely. It also has an O-ring in the front for use as a front-clip harness.
Yes! The harness features a welded, nickel-plated steel D-ring, allowing you to easily add a tag. You can also explore the embroiderable version of this harness for built-in identification or opt for slide-on tags as a lightweight alternative.
Use the non-slip tri-glide adjusters to tighten or loosen the harness. Push the webbing through the slider to create excess material, then pull it through on the other side to adjust. The molded teeth in the adjusters keep it securely in place, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit.
To clean your LupinePet gear, spot-clean, machine, or hand wash with warm (not hot) water and mild soap. Avoid bleach, brighteners, or whiteners. Air dry only – do not put it in the dryer. For extreme dirt or odors, pre-soaking in an enzymatic cleaner like Nature’s Miracle or Simple Solution may be helpful. Shampoos and other topical treatments that contain bleaching agents, clarifiers, medicines, or other chemicals can cause colors to transfer to your pet’s fur. We recommend removing the harness while bathing your pet or applying any treatments until both your pet and the gear are completely dry.
No, we do not recommend leaving the harness on an unattended or unleashed pet. It should be removed when the leash comes off to prevent potential snagging, discomfort or chewing. This harness is also not designed for tie-out use.
This harness provides excellent control and security. When used with the front O-ring clip, it can help reduce pulling by gently redirecting your dog’s motion.
Yes! Pair this harness with a matching padded-handle leash or collar (sold separately) for a coordinated look.
Yes! Like all LupinePet gear, this harness is GUARANTEED, even if chewed.

Perfect simple harness. Fits my dog Moose perfectly. He is 28lbs. Does not bother him at all. No I don't have to worry about him slipping out of his collar. Matches

Once I got it completely adjusted, it’s still proved almost impossible to get a wiggly dog in and out of. Step in harnesses are way easier. The only really good thing about this one, is it stayed completely away from my small dog’s throat. Otherwise, it was a total bust.
The chestband needs to be re-threaded through the loop every time

Materials are good, clasp is good, easy to put on, no complaints BUT the band that goes around the chest (not the neck part, the part around the ribcage) can slither out of the loop that's meant to connect it to the neck part (basically the 4" of material on the ventral side of the harness, meant to connect from the bottom of the dog's throat to the underside of the dog's chest). Having to shove the chest band through that loop is not hard, but having to do it every single time I put the harness on the dog is a little annoying. Maybe this is only a problem for people with growing puppies - if your dog is done growing, you could definitely put a stitch in to keep the chest band from escaping.

we got this because sometimes she slips out of her collar, and when she goes bye bye with daddy, she likes to jump out of truck and take off when he gets home, so now he can leash her before he opens door and she is stuck, hahahaha, you do what you got to do, cant have her run off and get in road or anything. now we know she will be safe. fits her great and looks good.
Not the quality I was hoping for
It’s an ok harness. Just not what I hoped for with the price I paid. Only bought this one because I wanted dark green.

It is a Lupine Roman Harness 1/2-inch wide and 12"-20" and fits very well. However, I still want a "step-in" harness with these same measurements and am unable to find one. It would be really nice if Chewy could find me a step-in harness since they are in the biz.

This item boasts it’s made in New Hampshire since 1990. So disappointing, made in America should mean quality. The harness is unusable because of the error in not having the neck straps so both can lie flat with the buckle away from the body. Hope the picture helps to illustrate what I am talking about.
Too Wide
Bought two sizes, one was the perfect width, the other is too wide. Will try to find a friend who needs the one that is too wide.
