Too hot

I have a 1-gal tank. The instructions say this heater will reach 80 degrees in a 1-gal tank. I unplugged at 84 degrees (with the tank light off).

For tanks / bowls up to 1 pound

I use this for my betta 1 pound temp bowl. He's been alive for 2 days in it. Heat is inconsistent-use thermometer on side to guage temp.

It Works too Well!

It works but it does get hotter than what it said it would do. Hopefully fish will not die! Temp varies but wondering if that has to do with house temp. too?
