Marineland Magnum Bonded Pad Filter Media is specially designed to prolong the life of filter media by reducing the accumulation of waste and dirt particles. The pad's porous, open-cell construction promotes water flow without impairing overall filter performance. It's made of durable interlinked coarse and fine polyester fibers that are locked together with a tough bonding agent to catch a wide range of suspended debris, keeping the filter clean and the aquarium water clear.

Keeps the filter clean and the aquarium water clear for life to thrive in
Mechanical media traps solid debris such as fish excrement, sludge, uneaten food, or dust from your aquarium as water passes through. Debris-laden media can then be mechanically removed and rinsed or replaced with ease.
It was thinner smaller than I had hoped for...cutting it to fit will only give me four usees..not awful, just not alot of it.

Easy custom fit for canister filtration systems

Great economical choice. This stuff is simple to cut for a custom fitted, fine particulates pad. I've used this material in both Fluval and Eheim large volume canister filtration systems (300 to 500 gallons per hour) for years, and never been disappointed. The only challenge comes after several pad replacement cuttings, you end up with a long strip of leftovers. I just cut two strips, and overlapped them a bit in the media containers, and it worked just fine til purchasing another pack for future filter changes.
