Compounding is a way for licensed pharmacists to create a customized medication that meets your pets specific needs. Compounding pharmacists mix or change one or more FDA-approved medications to prepare a special medication for your pet. For example, if a medication is only available in pill form, the pharmacist might create it in liquid, gel, or capsule form.
Your pet may have a specific health need that cannot be addressed by an FDA-approved drug. For example:
Always talk with your veterinarian about any concerns you have about your pets health so they can prescribe a treatment for your pets unique needs.

We wish to thank everyone at Chewy for such stellar service for our purchases, and then the compassion we eceived when we had to have our dog Heidi put down. She fought hard to the end with the prescriptions bought from you. When I called to cancel the automatic refills, you refunded all of our prescriptions. That is so fantastic and we have spread the word of how great Chewy is. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and God bless you all.
I love this liquid version of this Rx! The medication has worked well, but the liquid solution is much easier to administer. I fill the syringe, then tuck it under his lip. Once I start injecting it, his lick response is in overdrive, and the med is gone. We are both much happier with this formulation. Thanks Chewy for offering it!
There is nothing wrong with the product itself, but that inner cap/seal is a problem. It should at least be easily removable if I don't want to use it to draw up the medication. Since only one syringe works with this sort of cap, after a few uses the syringe sticks when using the plunger (even though I rinse the syringe after every use). That results in being difficult to administer the medication to my cat. I don't need the inner cap in order to measure the medication. Can you please make that cap removable? We got it off, but had to use pliers and a lot of effort.
I was excited to see a compound oral generic form of Cerenia. We’ve been using the pills for awhile but they’re not easy to give to our senior cat and they have a horrible side effect of causing extreme drooling if any of the pill dissolves on his tongue. Unfortunately this liquid compound causes the extreme drooling as well so it is unusable for us.
This stuff works great for treating my dog's cough. So much better than the other medication she was on. She loves the chicken flavor.
This is an excellent product in lieu of pills. I definitely recommend it if you have trouble giving pills to a kitty.
I didn’t taste it, of course but my cat wasn’t nearly as receptive to it as the compounded formula from our local pharmacy. Doesn’t matter anyway as she didn’t get much of this as she passed away.
