Great thing to have in handy if your ferrets get fleas this helps get rid of them along with some flea medicine afterwords of course . The tea tree oil does cause a bit of a tingly effect , plus your ferret might just want to dry off in general so expect them to have the zoomies afterwords
Ferrets have sensitive skin, This strips them of their oils which makes them stink more because there oil reproduction goes into overdrive. I recommend Oatmeals bath, a quick search in google will give you the best instructions.
I found my little ones hated baths BECAUSE of this shampoo. Otherwise they loved them. The tingly feeling from the tea tree can be cooling and they'd shiver for 20 minutes after use.
Though this shampoo does work well and leave my ferrets soft and fluffy, I wouldn’t recommend it. It left their skin dry and itchy and I had to stop using it.
My ferret smelt wonderful after using it. It’s been a whole week and she still smells good.
It is good if you don't take your ferret a bath too often. The smell does not actually smell like tea tree but more like a toothpaste like scent. It is weird but I guess it does what it does.
Finally just used this on my two boys. Smells great! They both seemed to do well with this shampoo! Just after almost a week they are back to itching, I’m hoping with more baths in the future it will help them over time. The cap also leaks, it was oozing out the edges of the lid while using it.
Not healthy for ferrets. Ferrets should not be given baths regularly. Instead of using shampoo like this, you should be putting oats in a sock or nylon in the bathtub and let the water get milky looking. This helps with dry skin and is the only type of bath they should be given. If smell is an issue, change their diet to something healthier.
I have four ferrets and we all know they get to be a little musky. I use these on all four of my babies and they haven't had any reactions to it they are super fluffy and smell amazing! I was a little worried because the soap itself was very strong but using it on the ferrets and it mixing with their Musk definitely tones it down. You can still smell it though which is very nice.
Tea tree oil is toxic to ferret's, please do not buy this product!!!
