Up to what age should my goslings be fed this?

We recommend keeping goslings on the starter feed up until they are fully feathered and then transition to Waterfowl Maintenance. Different species become fully feathered at different times, most between 7 – 10 weeks, but for some it may take weeks longer.

Is this acceptable for cygnets?

This food is formulated for newly hatched ducklings, goslings, and other waterfowl species, as well as adolescent birds. It is suitable for cygnets.

Professional Quality- Corrected Angel Wing in ducklings

Fed this after seeing my baby ducklings starting to develop angel wing when they were on organic duckling crumbles, and organic duck pellets. Decided to give this exclusively and noticed the difference immediately within a week. I will now only feed all my ducklings and older ducks Mazuri products. I have tried many different chicken feed with niacin supplement purchased additionally by me and for the cost of always buying niacin separate and even premium, organic, or regular chicken feed, or duck pellets, doesn't compare to the Mazuri waterfowl. Why? Even though it is not organic, these floating balls -both waterfowl starter and water maintenance, there is no dust or powder from crushed crumbles or pellets, so there is less waste in general. Believe it! You will save money and be giving balanced micronutrients that ducks or waterfowl specifically need that even some organic duck pellets don't promise. This also seemed to correct and increase the babies more stable on their legs, even though they were previously getting organic duck crumbles. And when my darling little female ducklings get older, they will get the Mazuri Waterfowl Layer pellets. No other duck pellets are really offering duck layer pellets, that you dont need to supplement oyster shell or anything else which can be hard to know if they are even eating the free feed oyster shell. Can't wait until my ladies grow bigger so I can give them the layer Mazuri waterfowl. I'm sure it will be a game changer as these other products have been. Try it out! You will not be disappointed!

I have raised all my ducklings on this food for 20 years now. Always great growth without angel wings. It’s a little expensive but worth it when I see the results

I’ve raised ducks for more than a decade, and discovered Mazuri breeder/layer formula a few years ago. Because it worked so well, I chose their starter feed for this year‘s ducklings. My day old cuties took to it immediately. There has been less waste than with crumbles I’ve used in the past. And, the birds have grown into gorgeous and energetic 11 week old adolescents. Conventional wisdom recommends reducing protein significantly after the first couple of weeks to avoid the risk of angel wing, often by cutting starter feed with oats. However, protein is not the only nutrient implicated in the development of angel wing. So, at the advice of Mazuri reps, who responded very promptly by email, I maintained them on full-strength starter feed until they were feathered and practicing short flights. Mazuri starter formula clearly contains the right balance of nutrients. As you can see in photos, there’s no sign of angel wing in anyone. I highly recommend this product as a simple, effective, no-hassle feed for young waterfowl.

The best food for raising ducklings.

This is by far the most superior feed there is for starting ducklings. I do preservation work with rare and hard to find breeds of ducks. I have about 300-400

This is by far the most superior feed there is for starting ducklings. I do preservation work with rare and hard to find breeds of ducks. I have about 300-400 ducks. I start all my domestic and wild ducklings on this feed. It has the proper vitamins they need as they grow and I don’t have issues with Angelwing. Highly highly recommend this feed. It truly is the best. All the Mazuri waterfowl feeds are wonderful. Just wish they weren’t so pricey as I would feed all my birds the adult version after starting them in this.

This has the extra calcium needed for ducks and geese and it is a starter for ducklings I like the 25 pound bag as I have 4 ducklings and they only need the extra

This has the extra calcium needed for ducks and geese and it is a starter for ducklings I like the 25 pound bag as I have 4 ducklings and they only need the extra protein for 5 or 6 weeks or so. Too much protein later, I have heard is not good

I Don’t like the corn and soy main ingredients

But the animals Eat it quickly and enjoy consuming it. Then spend the rest of the day foraging. At night they go for organic whole grains.

I’m helping a Mama Mallard raise their ducklings after she stupidly nested in our yard without any body of water around. I’m feeding the little ones the floating Mazuri Starter and they are thriving on it. Ducklings need to learn to eat from water, so I used my dog crate liner as their little wading pool with 1.5” of water in it.
