Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication prescribed by your vet to help reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness and increase mobility in your dog. It helps treat inflammation and may also help control pain associated with severe and chronic diseases, such as arthritis. Excellent med, excellent service!
My pomeranian has luxated patellas and this medication has helped her to stay active and sassy on a daily basis. It is the same exact medication/brand (meloxicam/Loxicom) that my vet provided. I am a nurse and can tell you there is little to no difference between generic and brand name meds almost all of the time. The major difference is that enough time has passed since a med was first introduced, so other companies then have the right to provide the active ingredient, as well. The thing you pay for the most (like with acetaminophen (Tylenol) is the name. I live in chronic pain and get the same relief from equate brand acetaminophen. Now my pom has suffered a terrible tear and is this moment in surgery. She will still be on this medication every day, so I am ordering again from Chewy to make sure I don't run out. It costs 1/3 of the price and it took one day for them to contact the vet and get the prescription. I have ordered other things from Chewy over the last year and have been very pleased. They even had a raincoat that fit my fur baby that I could not find elsewhere, as well a her treats that she drools over at just the sight of the bag. My experience with Chewy has been nothing less than exemplary.
Meloxicam for cat
Our elderly kitty was having mobility problems, even though this is not always recommended long-term for Cats since she is 13 years old, we felt it was important to give that to her and quality of life.

I’m not big on meds! I have a 15 year old 26 lb cat with arthritis in her back legs! This med helped her soooo much! She’s doesn’t jump or walk around like that anymore.. using this she automatically started feeling better! Wasn’t struggling to lay down or sit she would wait a few seconds before sitting or laying now she gets up and moves around! I give it to her every other day and 2 months at a time and 3 months off just to give her body a break from meds.. I would 100% recommend this for any animal struggling with arthritis! Hopefully I can get a few more years out of her! <3
Price is Right
Mia, a 15 year old toy poodle, was prescribed a version of this product by her vet. The oral suspension is so much easier than giving a pill especially since she is missing some teeth. I'm assured that she is getting the full dose required. We walk in the woods everyday, unless it's raining, and she began slowing down quite a bit and each step looked painful. I gave her glucosamine chews daily for the past 5 years and continue to do so but she needed more relief. My vet prescribed the liquid meloxicam and within a few days she was more active and moving easier. As we continue the medication she improves physically as well as emotionally since she has less pain in her joints. In these times of out of control inflation it was very difficult to afford added expenses until I purchased it from Chewy. The value was that you get 3 times more for about what it cost me for a one month from the vet. Mama is happy and Mia is happy.
Excellent product
My 18 year old chihuahua has some joint pain. She takes a very small dose of this before bed and sleeps so soundly. Previously she was getting up multiple times a night. Very thankful to be able to get this through Chewy with vet approval. Easy to give, she doesn't mind the taste, and we are all getting more sleep!
Absolute game changer
15+ yr old senior dog who was struggling with quivering, unstable legs and legs giving out, missed steps and falling against stairs. When she was 10yrs old, were were still doing 5+ mile hikes over all sorts of terrain. Gradually, her age and mobility caught up with her and she had to limit walks to level terrain, less than a mile a few times a week. She became a couch potato. Started losing appetite and interest. Vet prescribed this stuff and it's like a miracle drug on day one. It works immediately - within minutes of administering. My dog is now doing full 2m+ walks 3-5 days week (still doesn't handle cold temps well tho), pulls the lead all the way out, runs, dodges, climbs, plays with her giggle ball for blocks of time and even her appetite is back. This allows her to be more mobile and being active improves her quality of life. She is a happy pup and every bit as playful as she was at 5-7yrs. meloxicam makes a noticeable difference shortly after administering. Grateful to have something that helps her so much. Not sure if any other brand would be as effective but we are sticking with this one as long as it is available.
Happy mishap
Received this product with two syringes as expected, neither fit the medication adapter. Luckily I had one leftover from another medication and it fit perfectly and no longer requires the double syringe business just to get the correct dose out for use. The manufacturer needs to step up their game.

Faulty bottle with syringe
The bottle top adapter for the syringe does not fit properly and I continually spill the medication because I do not have three hands to hold it firmly in place. This has to be changed or I will switch to another brand. At this price I cannot be spilling medication all the time.
