Optimmune works well to keep my dogs eyes moist and hydrated. But it is Way To Expensive! $67 for a very tiny tube. And what upsets me the most is the tiny tube isn't even full. If you look at the picture, this is how much I had to squeeze the tube in order to get the first dose out. You can't tell me that tiny $67 tube was full. I really would like Chewy to talk to the manufacturer about this. This is just wrong!

This product works. But every single container ultimately splits open and leaks the medication out. It's also impossible to get all the product out. Between it creasing and busting open and not being able to get to the end of the tube I am constant wasting 20 to 30% of the product. This is the earliest it's busted normally I at least make it halfway through the tube. I wish they would put it in better packaging.

My dog would have been blind since she was 7 years old and now at 14 she still can see exceptionally well and bolts around the house and yard with no difficulty. I had a dog years ago, different breed, who ended up blind most of his life before this drug was discovered. This drug works miracles as long as you exactly follow the vet’s directions. That is incredibly important.

This ointment is a great remedy for my dog, who sleeps with her eyes slightly open, causing mucus buildup and crusties in her eyes. This medication will stop that, as well as keep the layer of mucus that sits on her eyeball from leaving a line, and ultimately, scarring.

Great for English Bulldog eyes

This ointment keeps my bulldog’s eyes nice and clear. His eyes used to be full of mucus and goopiness. I keep it in the fridge so the ointment comes out slowly. You only need a small amount. It’s expensive but worth it! I use it twice a day. If I miss a day, the goopiness comes back.

I have no choice since my vet has had my dog on this for a few years. But these These tubes fall apart and gets holes in it when you have about 1/3 of the medication left. The goo gets all over the place and I lose so much. It is terrible because this is so expensive and my dog uses it three times a day! I try taping it on the sides, which kind of helps.

My pug is going to need this for life because his eyes can't produce tears anymore. The bottle is pretty small, I use it 2-4 times a day depending on how dry his eyes get. The packaging is also cheaply made, cause it has leaked out product from the sides if you don't push out product a specific way. I wish there was a way bigger bottle so I don't have to keep constantly buying it every 2-3 weeks.

Product is a necessity for my fur baby, but for the price, I wish there were more in the tube. I feel as though I have to purchase this product every 2 weeks, in order to maintain the film that covers his pupils, multiple times throughout the day, and its supposed to be applied 2X daily.

I spoke with my vet tech regarding all of the negative comments regarding this eye ointment & the liquid that was coming out of the tube. She said it was from squeezing the tube to hard. She then showed me an easy way to apply. Lift up the upper lid. Proceed to place several round blob, smaller than a pea. Then let the dog close their eye. It will melt and cover the warm eye ball to keep it moist. Repeat every 12 hours. It seems to work much easier than trying to put a 1/4 inch of ointment as you try and pull the bottom lid down. Good luck

This is very expensive ointment, so it’s even more disappointing to find out that after you open the tube and start to squeeze out the ointment, literally nearly 1/2 of the tube is gone and you have to start rolling the bottom of the tube. It’s a rip off. Can we pay 1/2 less please since we aren’t even getting a whole tube? This pic is a brand new unused tube. The flat area to the right is how much I already had to roll it up to push the ointment out. Ridiculous
