Clasp Came Undone Twice in One Week!

This is just to notify pet parents, perhaps it was just my specific order, but I've had this leash for just over one week and the clasp has come undone twice at

This is just to notify pet parents, perhaps it was just my specific order, but I've had this leash for just over one week and the clasp has come undone twice at this point while walking my pup! The first time, it happened right after she did a little shake, so I thought maybe it was a one-off issue, perhaps an oversight on my part of not clasping it fully. Since that time, however, I have ensured that the clasp is secure before taking her out, and still today it came undone just after she bent down to sniff something! Just beware, if you order this leash, stay cautious for the first week or so to make sure you haven't purchased a defective one as well! If it weren't for the clasp issue, I would have given this product 5 stars! The rope itself feels strong and secure.

Pretty cheap

This is a nice bright color. I was looking for an actual sturdy rope, this is cheap polyester and has snags in it after a few uses. I’m not even sure where the snags

Perfect for my needs

Actually is red and not the weird pinkish red of most things advertised as red. I love Mendota leads for the quality. It's not stiff at all which is great.

My big boy likes to go on walks

Lynyrd is a big boy! But lord forbid if he sees another dog. He will and has pulled me down! With this leash, I got a grip on him now! Highly recommend!

Seemed fine until the handle completely came apart during a walk. Luckily the lead was tangled with the other dog’s leads so no vroom. Going to try something else

High quality, strong leash

A very strong leash to which is much easier on the hands than nylon when Bernie pulls or darts on us. If I had a minor gripe it's that the loop doesn't hang around
