Will small work for a 4 lbs yorky?

This lead is made for Extra Small & Toy Breeds, Small Breeds and Medium Breeds.

What is the tensile strength on this lead? My dog is 45 lbs.; however, she can easily pull over 150 lbs. I'm not sure if the 3/8" is appropriate for her, or if I should size up to the 1/2" for the extra strength of the rope?

The Small 3/8 inch rope is recommended for dogs 50 pounds and under. The Large 1/2 inch rope is recommended for dogs 50 - 250 pounds. The Theoretical Tensile is at 1,700 pounds force. Theoretical Tensile Safe working load is at 170 pounds.

What color is the hardware (the metal ring etc.) on this slip lead?

Best Slip Lead

This works well for my CKCS (16lbs) and is well made, perfect for daily activities. I've used this slip lead for 9 months now and it is still secure and works perfectly

This works well for my CKCS (16lbs) and is well made, perfect for daily activities. I've used this slip lead for 9 months now and it is still secure and works perfectly. There are cheaper options but I feel like this is the best weight/width (many options are too wide and are a bit more cumbersome to hold). Plus, I like the fun weave options Mendota has. Basically, well made and definitely worth the investment compared to others.

I got this for my mini dachshund. There's plenty of lead for her to go an explore on walks, but still short enough that I can reinforce training. The leather bit holds well at whatever tightness I set it at, and the bright colors means it's always easy to spot in the house. I'm really pleased and will likely reorder if it ever wears out. Given its quality, I don't expect that to happen for many many years.
