How old does a kitten have to be to eat hard food.

Teeth start coming in at 4 to 5 weeks so mommie cat will begging to resist nursing because it hurts. By 8 weeks kittens can be on small kibbles. I tend to wet them a bit so they also get some moisture. Cats can be really poor water drinkers.

Can this be fed to a older cat to help weight gain?

The change in the size

I've been feeding Meow Kitten Mix to my cats for 5 years after I acquired a kitten but the adult cats liked it best so i continued buying it. It was tiny balls

I've been feeding Meow Kitten Mix to my cats for 5 years after I acquired a kitten but the adult cats liked it best so i continued buying it. It was tiny balls of food. The last two bags I bought, Meow mix had changed the sizes of the kibbles and they must have also changed the flavor as even after grinding it up to make smaller pieces, none of my 3 cats will now eat it and I'm stuck with two bags of it. I won't buy it again and that is a shame as the cats really liked the prior size & favor. Won't buy again.

He Loves It!

I bought the meow mix kitten for my kittens actually but Buddy loves it. He’s a rescue cat I took in, but he just loves it and it like a treat. It really helps

It’s easy to eat easy to digest and he enjoys eating it with the kittens. He let me know when it’s time to eat. He grabs my arm and it’s like saying mom feed me Thank You Chewy!

Kittens not a fan

The size of the kibble is pretty big for most kittens and my kittens were not a big fan - they would nibble if hungry enough but never went out of their way to eat

My 3 love it.

Three under 1 year olds love this Meow Mix kitten blend. They sub it from the Fancy Feast Salmon we get from Chewy also. The dry seems to be the evening choice

Three under 1 year olds love this Meow Mix kitten blend. They sub it from the Fancy Feast Salmon we get from Chewy also. The dry seems to be the evening choice. Chewy is my choice for all of their foods and litter. Always delivered on time with no substitutions or unavailable. We are happy not making trips to box stores and grocery store any longer.
