They had a promotion where you would receive 3 different flavors, so I got it. My dog loved it, but wow, the box was huge! So much unnecessary and wasteful packaging. I understand it needs to be kept cold, but the dry ice was loose in plastic bags and spilled out. I had to use my outdoor grill mitts to remove the dry ice. I left it outside in a bucket to evaporate. It was a mess. For 3 little food pouches the box was way too large. Great food, but if I really want to get it as a treat for my dog, I will just go to local pet food store.

One dog refused to eat it, and both dogs threw it up on both times I fed it to them. The texture of the meat is grainy or like a soy product. The dog that refused to eat it couldn't stand the smell, but I kind of forced him to eat it and he was miserable afterward, until he finally vomited. This was a “fresh” food is an absolute no go! For the record, it smelled funny to me too :(

It came with dry ice package and I didn't realize it and it was dry ice and I picked up the bags and then after I picked up the bags underneath the bags was instructions did not pick up the bags and then I can get complete frostbite on my hands, which I did so I think I need to package it better and have the instructions on top of the dry ice with a warning or maybe on the package of the dry ice that says do not touch because that's not very safe the way it was packaged so I have a problem with that

The Salukis (all 4 of them - Ghost, Daisy, Nara and Ishtah (I no longer have Reesha, she died 2 1/2 years ago) - love the Fresh Selects turkey and brown rice as a topper on their Merrick beer/lamb kibble. It encourages them to eat if they are feeling picky.

I started making dog food because our dog has terrible food allergies. Because we were going to be going away and I wanted to be sure there was enough on hand for the daughter who stays here when we leave we ordered this. There was a nice introductory coupon special and so I got some. It was a big hit with sage, you do have to remember though to take it out to thaw it before serving. The microwave helps too. Unfortunately it is pretty costly without the special coupon. They also change the recipe on one we had gotten and added peas. That set off her allergies and we checked and sure enough they had made a change. They were terrific about giving us a different flavor without peas at no charge. I just wish some of this stuff could be a little less pricey. However if you’re going to feed human grade food that is pure and natural I guess that’s the price you need to pay.

Tess is always enthusiastic at meal time and is not a fussy eater. She ate the food only after I added some cooked chicken to it. My Lucy is a picky eater and would not eat to the food. I will cook turkey to add to this food in hopes they will enjoy their meals.

Real Vegetables

You can actually see the veggies throughout the food. Also, it doesn't have that order that alot of dog foods have my Turbo loves it.

The 7 portions arrived packaged well and still totally frozen. This will be fed to an almost 10 yr old female pitty mix- about 70 lbs. The packages store easily in the freezer and weren’t too big. I would defrost 1 package in about 24 hrs. in the fridge and once opened I kept it fresh in a sealed container until I needed the next one. (I think there’s about 2 1/2 cups per package) The product was used as a topper over kibble that had been warmed up with some hot water. I put about 3/4 cup of the product in a bowl and warmed it for about 30 seconds in the microwave and then added it over the kibble. She definitely enjoyed it every day and started running to the area she’s fed from the kitchen to wait when she saw her bowl was ready. In the product there are visible chunks of vegetables and it does smell good when heated. The rice is chopped up and not whole pieces. It makes mealtime prep go faster as I would normally cut up some extra vegetables and chicken to add to her bowl but with this I don’t have to.
