First Thing my Lab Would Not Eat

In the ten years I have had my Lab, who literally inhales anything I put in front of him, this is the first thing he refused to eat. I cooked a pork chop, cut it

In the ten years I have had my Lab, who literally inhales anything I put in front of him, this is the first thing he refused to eat. I cooked a pork chop, cut it up in small pieces, and mixed it well with the kibble. He carefully extracted only the pork chop without eating any of this. I then tried mixing in some marinara sauce and he finally ate some of it. The next day he had diarrhea, which in his lifetime I can count the times this has happened on one hand. In the past, I have never had to mix new foods with old foods to transition as he has the gut microbiota of a seagull and new foods never affected him. For that matter, I have seen him eat things that would make you gag with no ill effects. I gave it one more try, this time mixing it with some yogurt. Once again he only ate a little bit and had diarrhea the next day. There is something seriously wrong with this food and I would stay away from it.

Did the product change? Food color is more "Grey" and texture changed

My dog (Black Lab) has been eating this for a couple years now, and as soon as we opened the new bag she instantly refused to eat this food. She won't even attempt

My dog (Black Lab) has been eating this for a couple years now, and as soon as we opened the new bag she instantly refused to eat this food. She won't even attempt to take it from the other dogs bowl as she tends to try to do if we get distracted. We gave her other veggies and other foods she always likes to eat and she has plenty of appetite. Went to the store picked up a different brand of food and she ate it right away. we did notice that the color and texture in this bag are changed, the brown color was more greyish and the texture seemed different that the normal look of the food, we noticed as soon as we opened the bag.

I guess?

I switched to this food after the Victor recall. It got many good reviews, and it may very well be that good. Luckily the abrupt change has only caused a gassy dog,

I switched to this food after the Victor recall. It got many good reviews, and it may very well be that good. Luckily the abrupt change has only caused a gassy dog, but I find this item to be very expensive for what you get. Luckily we supplement our dog’s diet with fresh foods, so this will only be a stopgap for us.
